To clarify, I have the longer boards with the shorter edge connector. Of course, the board I have for sale here is the other version, so I'm not able to test which board works better. I don't see a 3 pin connector, however.

If, in fact, it IS an Atari cabinet, then why the top curve modification in the first place? That's what I'd like to know.

I replaced the speaker in my Galaga, hoping that would fix the no sound issue. Still, no sound. Any pointers would be appreciated.

For a moment, I was thinking a bad LM324. But, reading your post, it may be something else. This thing was caked with dust, everywhere! It might even be a dirty connection. I’ll scope it out. Thanks for the pointers!

When I got my Galaga home, the first thing I did was clean the edge connector AND plug with Electronics Cleaner. It rectified the fuzzy screen I was getting. However, mine, too, has no sound. I'll post a seperate thread about the sound issue.

Not a bad idea. Although I have 2 extra non-working boards I can rip off a 324 or 4066 from. The hard part is getting these small IC bastards off!

If I was a betting man, I'd say that's a Falcon board/pinout. But, I could be mistaken...

I just acquired a working Galaxian board that is missing the Fire and Explosion sounds. Which chips control these 2 sounds? With any luck, I can swap them out with 2 other non-working boards I have. Thanks!
