I adjusted the control panel controls as far as they can go, but the brightness is still too bright. I can't get the blacks black. It's fine when it first turns out, other than out of focus, but after about 20 minutes it get bright like the picture shown and then comes into focus. Any help...

I've got it looking pretty good now. Only needs to be shifted over a little to the left. It is off center. But the red tint is gone and the screen has a good black level. Can post a picture after the weekend if anyone cares to see. Thank you everyone for your input and help! -Mike

I’ve now turned every single knob on the chassis and the image is still cut off on the left. It’s almost like it isn’t even receiving the complete image to display. -Mike

If it was on that control panel. I turned it. I tried turning all of the knobs. I didn't try any of the knobs on the chassis itself, I only turned knobs on the control panel.

I mainly want to fix this one, but at the end of the day as I buy more cabinets, knowing how to work on these things seems to be worth knowing! Thank you for your recommendations!

I squeezed it with the v size knob to see if it was even showing the whole game image which it doesn't seem to be. The way my brain wants to think about it is that the CRT may not be getting the complete game image from the board. With that said, I have practically zero experience working on...

I went through, reseated the cards, followed all of the wires and reseated the connectors and fortunately the red tint went away. Now it's just too bright. The brightness is turned all of the way down. Not sure if there's another adjustment for that. Also the image seems too wide, not...

I squeezed the image. Not sure why not all of the image is being displayed. That seems to be part of the problem.

I've cranked the V center as far as it will go and still cuts of the image. I can try adjusting the size, but I doubt that'll change things much, but I'll try it! Thanks for your reply!

I found this in the Mr. Do manual. Anyone have an idea if this is what could help solve the problem? Is there an adjustment on the PCB for the horizontal and vertical?

I'm willing to try anything and everything! I'll try everyone's suggestions on Thursday starting with the easiest ones first. If anyone else has suggestions. Please add them. I think this may also help anyone else who has this problem in the future. Thank you!

I have a Defender project... besides the ship not moving up and down and the fire button not working... the monitor has a red tint covering the whole image area. I've tried turning both the of red knobs down as far as they go, while the brightness of the red changes, it never goes away...

I can't center the image vertically. I've cranked the knob as far as it would go and it won't budge anymore. On the chassis I have no idea what I can turn, but it doesn't look like a lot of options. If anyone has any suggestions. It'd be much appreciated! Thank you! -Mike
