  1. k7203 Has HV but no Pic

MKL...I'm not shocked I screwed up the numbering...so here are pics and my numbering logic. Basically backwards and missing a few pins to keep everyone on their toes...doh! Main Board: Neck Board: Mecha...yes, a flyback is definitely on order. I'll take another look at it all tonight with...
  2. k7203 Has HV but no Pic

Thanks all for your great input. I measured the pins again today and now I'm getting different readings. I do recall there was some variability when i checked them previously so something is amiss. Here's the summary of what I have: 1) Heater not glowing now 2) Voltages on the neck pins...
  3. k7203 Has HV but no Pic

Hi all, I have a recently acquired K7203 (WGE-1972 Hots49A) chassis that I'm having an issue with. The good news is I get HV and neck glow, however there is no picture. In fussing around with this, I've noticed that the voltages on the crt socket of the neck board get 8V on pins that I think...
  4. Missile Command Cabaret Matsushita 14"

Swapped out to another monitor and the shakiness when bombs hit was the same. Looks like it is a board issue. I did swap out the audio regulator board with a known good one and that checked out good. So something on the MC pcb is the issue.
  5. Missile Command Cabaret Matsushita 14"

Not easily available at the moment...i may have to pull another machine apart tomorrow to test. The painful part is the connectors aren't standard so i'll have to frankenstein a harness together. Good step in troubleshooting though...thanks for the suggestion!
  6. Missile Command Cabaret Matsushita 14"

Good point...here are two quick videos...it looks worse in person. https://youtu.be/ZenGK0IJqDA https://youtu.be/q6-6Vxc0RoA Thanks!
  7. Missile Command Cabaret Matsushita 14"

I'm working on getting my Missile Command Cabaret in tip top shape and I'm running into an issue with the monitor. It's the Matsushita 14". The screen looks great while playing until bombs explode on the bottom third of the screen...or if a city is destroyed. At that point, the lower part of...
  8. Hantarex MTC-900/E Issue

Success! Thanks to Ohmerone for pointing me in the right direction. I examined the voltages coming in IC2 and they were way off from what the manual says they should be. I examined the chip which isn't surface mounted and reseated it. Turned on the tube and bingo I hear the familiar sound of a...
  9. Hantarex MTC-900/E Issue

Great info Ohmerone! For clarification when you say regulator are you talking about the voltage transistors (ic1 and ic4) or the adjustable potentiometer? Checked R98 it is not open. When i adjust the potentiometer and check SP20 there is no change in VDC...it stays constant at 165vdc. I did...
  10. Hantarex MTC-900/E Issue

Thanks Ken. I did a capkit on this about a year ago. The only capacitor I didn't have was the C11 so just changed that now. I checked R56 and it checks out fine.
  11. Hantarex MTC-900/E Issue

Thanks Ken for putting these out there! I had seen your repair guide for the 900E unfortunately hasn't pointed me to resolution just yet :( But it's early in the process :) Oh...I love what you did with the MultiWilliams Defender. That is an awesome restoration job you did. Oddly enough, this...
  12. Hantarex MTC-900/E Issue

Thanks Ohmerone. I tested at SP15 and got 166vdc. On C11 one side is the 166vdc while the other is -9.4vdc. I checked the main transistors (TR5, TR6, TR7, TR9 and BU208 as well as others) in circuit and they all came out fine. I also tested all the resistors and didn't come up with an open...
  13. Hantarex MTC-900/E Issue

Hoping someone can help me out with an issue I am having with a Hantarex MTC-900/E monitor. When I turn it on I don't get a picture and don't hear the familiar hum of a working screen. I checked the voltage at the big resistor on the left hand side and get 9vdc. I took it out of circuit and it...
