Swapped out to another monitor and the shakiness when bombs hit was the same. Looks like it is a board issue. I did swap out the audio regulator board with a known good one and that checked out good. So something on the MC pcb is the issue.

Not easily available at the moment...i may have to pull another machine apart tomorrow to test. The painful part is the connectors aren't standard so i'll have to frankenstein a harness together. Good step in troubleshooting though...thanks for the suggestion!

Great info Ohmerone! For clarification when you say regulator are you talking about the voltage transistors (ic1 and ic4) or the adjustable potentiometer? Checked R98 it is not open. When i adjust the potentiometer and check SP20 there is no change in VDC...it stays constant at 165vdc. I did...

Thanks Ken. I did a capkit on this about a year ago. The only capacitor I didn't have was the C11 so just changed that now. I checked R56 and it checks out fine.
