    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

No, we don't. You're an NEACF newbie. I haven't used social media since before the election, kiddo. I leave that sewer to you. Let me guess -- Media Lab? Funded by Epstein?

...and you missed the point that the problem doesn't require any sort of specific expertise, only basic soldering skills to replace the sockets... LOL. The trolls didn't need to reply.

    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

Of course I have... I've learned a lot more. You should try that sometime instead of belittling those who know far more than you do.

    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

There's nothing contradictory about recognizing many people don't possess they skills they should have. This "repair" is literally about just replacing a bunch of sockets. If you were smart enough to google my kit, you might figure out how many people use it (and even find the bootlegs of the...

Solved - Sinistar Freezes During Title Screen and Gameplay

The reset circuit only cares about 12V to prevent spurious writes to the CMOS at powerup/powerdown. It has nothing to do with DRAM corruption. If you're still getting RAM errors during self-test you still have RAM issues / RAM interface issues.

Must be for all the incisive repair advice he posts here, right? Since you're so impressed with 4-1 pacman multigames, do you need a link to the schematics, and source code for the 6-1 kit I posted for free 17-18 years ago? I assume zero skill. It's a pretty safe assumption.

LOL They're the exact same design as the original MPUs, only with (more reliable) MOSFET drivers instead of BJT drivers which require a preamp. ...and the PCBs themselves are higher quality than what was made in the 80s, with better sockets, better headers, and no battery corrosion. "Nobody...

    American Shuffleboard Scoreboard Repair Help

The old 2 beer limit at Charlton was a bummer, but after a couple pints of 9% baltic porter, you really don't need another pour. The real problem is having a tap-list 60 deep where you can never get to try anything (less in Tewksbury). It's worth the trip just for the pizza, but they tend to...

    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

I was being positive, clown. Pacman is so damn simple that anyone should be able to fix it. ...what's negative is pretending it's super complex and there's only 1-2 people who could possibly fix it, and there's no way they could figure it out themselves...

    Who Here Fixes Ms Pacs

LOL! Pacman has to be the best documented and easiest board to work on. Anyone who can't replace a socket has no business in this hobby.

    American Shuffleboard Scoreboard Repair Help

If the ROM is corrupt, it's probably not repairable -- unless you can find someone with a working board to dump a good copy. You should have dropped the board off when I was at Treehouse Tewksbury last Thursday :) Been meaning to get over there to try Hopothecary -- haven't been to Oak and...

    American Shuffleboard Scoreboard Repair Help

Looks pretty basic -- didn't notice the CPU and ROM from the back side pics. Looks like the board is mainly (cmos) 7 segment decoders and transistor arrays to drive the display. With the CPU to poll inputs, debounce is prob done in software -- looks like the switches at the top are the...

    Williams Defender Arcade Prototype

The board draws little enough power that the IDC20 is sufficient, but sketchy headers and ribbon cables can let the widget board lose power making the 6821 lose its configuration and appear to fail mid-game, so it's "nice" to have the 4-pin header as redundant power.
