Holy guys, Starting to dig into this Big Buck Safari! Does anyone make a gun rebuild kit? Neither seem to work and I was hoping to rebuild instead of buying new… Unless someone has a working set they want to move. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Hey guys, I’m picking up a Big Buck safari with a bad monitor. Does anyone know if I can replace them with an LCD monitor or is the CRT intregal to these versions with the gun/targeting in the game? I’ve never owned or worked on one so I’m looking for a little insight on these guys. Thanks!!

@mikerk was repairing PC10 boards last year when I reached out to him about mine. He's done some other PCB repairs for me and he does great work!!!

Great suggestion! Here’s what I did and it works perfectly. I created a pigtail spade connection to tap into the power coming into the coin switch and ran the wire (Black) to the single pole switch that goes to the single yellow wire the comes out of the Clay SW/ESB KIT.

I figured it out. On V1 I need to introduce power to the DB to switch to ESB. I used a single pole switch and I ran from the yellow wire connected to the PCB to one side of the switch and from the switch to the power going to the coin slot switch. Works like a charm now.

Does anyone know where to get the correct resistor to replace R112? The schematic says 10K 1/4 watt resistor but I’m having a hard time finding one through the usual suppliers

Yeah exactly. Apologize for that. Vector’s are Not something I have much of any experience with. R112 is on my list to replace shortly, just to knock that off the list of suspects.
