@tron guy sells rebuilt monitor chassis and I've never had a problem with any of his rebuilt G07 chassis.

Well at least Nintendo does not have those horrible IC's like the old Midway boards. Everytime I have to pull a chip from a Galaga board it's like playing Russian roulette to see if the legs fall off. Lol I think the repair issue is that Nintendo made so many of these VS boards that it's not...

I remember testing a stack of VS boards and getting a white screen when things are off. Dead CPU or roms chips usually cause this but you need to verify it's not a monitor issue. Sounds like you did get the monitor to work so now it's just figuring out which side of the VS board had the issue or...
