    Post-capkit Sanyo 20EZ width issue

See how it looks in the game. Tpg can give you a "false alignment" as its timings are different than the game. Sanyo 20EZs can be a headache with this alignment stuff. Games like donkey kong which would have used a 20EZ have position adjustments on the game board. I typically do calibration...

    Post-capkit Sanyo 20EZ width issue

A couple things: make sure you are hooked up to *negative* sync, looks like you might be hooked up to positive sync. Check that first. Otherwise, try asjusting horizontal hold. Sometimes when it isn't locking correcrly it might do that.

If I had to make a guess: just to have it not be hanging as much.

Adjust horizontal hold for the scrambled monitor. It is one of the pots on the main chassis, refer to the manual for location.

ISO: Space Fever Black & White Monitor Info

Title says it all, I am searching for schematics and other documentation for the black and white monitor found in space fever. I'm having issues with brightness flickering and am trying to figure it out. Not sure if it is the contrast pot on the front being crummy or the brightness pot on the...

G07 input voltage - How much is too much?

You have that backwards. If you want to lower the voltage, you would want to use the 125V lug. Those lugs are intended for what your input voltage is. If you use the 105V lug, the output voltage would likely be higher.

G07 input voltage - How much is too much?

Part of the reason it might be higher is because there is no load on the transformer.

Looking for Kicad CR23 footprint help.

These are all sockets I used with my CRT breakout boards, one of these days I will finally make a github for my custom footprints and symbols. I probably should back them up considering that I have some 150+ custom footprints from over the past 7 years of PCB design. The center hole (that the...

    Custom adapter for B&K rejuvenator

I have several blank boards for making adapters. I sell CR23 and CR31 adapters pre-built, but would sell blank pcbs for CR23, CR24, CR25, CR28, CR30, and CR31 if you want to build your own.

Is there a best chassis for 19 inch CRTs?

In my opinion, the best monitor for a game is the one currently in it (assuming it isn't necked). Failures are luck of the draw I think. But here are some observations I've made on monitors I have experience with: 20EZ - great monitor but they typically need work upfront. Some people don't like...

Capacitor on game board pops after a Sanyo 20EZV recap and I lost audio

Based on the fact that I've had several DK, DK Jr, Mario Bros, and Vs system boards come my way with burnt resistors (or in the case of Vs System, a blown out LM3900), I'd say switching JB and JC probably happened quite a bit. It's dumb, they really should have keyed it. Even techs make...

Capacitor on game board pops after a Sanyo 20EZV recap and I lost audio

Burnt resistors are a common failure when JB and JC are reversed on the EZ20 audio amp. It bothers me greatly that Nintendo didn't key those connectors or give one a different pin count.

Sanyo 20EZ missing PS601…can I power it up?

Ps601 is responsible for driving the degauss coil on startup I think. You can run the monitor without it, just won't have any degauss coil action.

Source for B+K Rejuv socket pins crimp terminals?

I can probably make a new CR23 adapter this week if you want to go that route. I was selling them for a while but haven't had a ton of time to assemble them. Unfortunately I don't know what you can do about those broken pins.

Best place to buy replacement tinted tempered glass?

I'd see if there is a local source. You might make a good contact. Everytime I've needed glass, it's been easier to just get it done locally for me.
