Ran a test on this Zaxxon Cocktail Table I have and it comes up with RAM 2 being bad. Could anyone point me to what chip this is talking about?

Found the chip on the board. You say this causes the flipping? Is it also the cause of showing those frozen images on the screen?

So is that located on the motherboard or cartridge board? I’m not familiar with System 1 boards.

Reseated the chips. Didn’t change anything either.

So I’m assuming when you say test switch you mean the one on the board with the volume control on it? I flipped that switch and powered it on and there is no change. It keeps doing the same thing on the screen. That is of course if that’s the switch you are talking about.

I’ll try the test switch when I get home from work today. Didn’t know there was one on the board.

Picked up a RoadBlasters about a month ago and it's having this issue. Just wondering if it's a motherboard issue or the cartridge? And if there is anyone that repairs them? Hoping it's just the cartridge because I really don't want to ship out both boards.

So I have a Hydro Thunder that had a bad fluorescent light in it. No big deal. I have yet to get a game where the light is working. So I put a new bulb in, turn the game on, it flashes and then nothing. Just killed the bulb. So I figure the ballast is bad. I want to bypass it and just replace...

NVM. Figured it out. 🙄

Just a little update. Been over three weeks and the wheel rubber is still all nice and dried out. No tackiness to it at all. So it looks like soaking it in Dawn dish soap water really pulls the oils out of the rubber. Hopefully it stays this way.

Little update here. Been sick all week so I decided to just soak the steering wheel in hot Dawn dish soap water for about 12 hours the last three days each time scrubbing it with a Brillo pad before putting it in hot water again. Just let it dry off today and it looks like that did the trick...

I can’t give ya credit for something I haven’t tried yet. Seems the chemical guys shit isn’t doing the trick either. It sort of works, but there is still a light tackiness to it. Maybe I haven’t gotten all the oils out of it yet. Soaking it in hot dish soap water right now. Looks like I’ll have...

No doubt. Just didn’t feel like running around to auto stores today looking for it. Had to run into Walmart to grab other things. Was surprised they didn’t have it.

Walmart doesn’t have it. That’s where I got this stuff at.

I would if I could find it. Shopped around town and no one seems to carry that brand. I’ll keep looking but for now I’m going to try this and see what happens.

Well, that stuff was short lived. The wheel is going back to being sticky again. ☹️. Have to try something else.
