Hey, I got (the) Don Campbell from sega on the phone yesterday. He said to try a new pigtail cable. It goes right after the regular gun cable. If anyone needs the part # for it let me know - it's in my car right now (3 blocks away).

(test) I replied about your HOD gun problem. It shows the date of the reply in a list of posts, but does not show in the post. It shows in another of your posts. Strange. Anyway, did you get that HOD gun prob solved?

I took my own advice and powered the pins on P2 and got no excessive current. The short must have been in the somewhere past P2 - it goes to the PC, but schem is hard to read and we moved the game across the floor several feet and the short stopped. Wish I could trace it at my desk.

Well, one of the 12v supplies going to P2 on the I/O board smoked-out. I was reading about 4mil ohms on the 12v leads (disconnected from the ps). New ps promptly shut down upon re-connecting wires. I just kept unplugging everything until only the board and P2 where connected. A more...

Is that one of those GD Drives? To be more specific, the game is giving "unexpected game program fail" after about 10 minutes. The screen looks like a bad video card, but not every time.
