Another Pac-Man, Another Monitor - G07 Horizontal Pincushioning

I've seen pincushion issues when there are bad connections/cracks around the flyback pins, and when D506 is bad

Another Pac-Man, Another Monitor - G07 Horizontal Pincushioning

What work has been done to this chassis? Can we get a pic of the top and bottom? edit: That image looks like the V size is stretched out too far. I can't see the right side of the maze. (not relevant to pincushion, just saying).

    G07 Hsize too small

It looks like the original fuses were removed in favor of fuse holders. That is all. For the record , I have NEVER, EVER.......seen the correct value fuses when someone uses fuse holders. Zero for 400. The flyback wire needs to be re-routed. Normal flyback range is 24-26kv (IIRC), so...

My variety of g07 flybacks. I look at them every day, so thought I'd share

ok.............I mean............flybacks cost $45 now plus shipping. I'd use them if I were you. I wouldn't buy them if you listed them for sale........... Worst case scenario I suppose is you blow a fuse, and the flyback blows in half (like a bunch did for me bitd).

Had a new one come through. It was arcing to the frame (lightning bolts), I expoxied it , super glued it, several layers. Didnt change anything, lol. Super lightning, so it's going in the trash, but I thought I'd post a couple of pictures.

The width coil doesn't do a lot. But, It never hurts to have a good coil. I just wonder if the flyback is putting out different/inconsistent voltages, resulting in a screen size change. Nothing more than a guess at this point. Unless you have a hv probe, you can check it?

G-07 issue with no neck glow

FIrst B+ voltage. Then G2 voltage on the neckboard (DC setting for both). edit: I may as well mention what you are looking for. 120vdc for B+, 500+(ish) VDC at G2 on the neckboard.

If you want to ship it to me, I can look at it. Or you can just trade it in towards the one I have for sale right now. (Or we can continue to try to help you repair it, obviously). But it's a tough one. Has the flyback been changed?

Odd for sure. It's gonna be hard to get real advice. I'd have to have it in front of me.

    My next rescue attempt- G07

Yeah, I thought it would take longer too. I washed it and let it dry to it a few days. Then put in a couple of hours yesterday. Making it more time -consuming was the fact that another rescue did not pan out, so I was desoldering parts from that chassis to install into this one.

    My next rescue attempt- G07

Follow up on this pos. It's working...... sync issues....but working. Tomorrow....... Edit, Tron guy being Tron guy .....I didn't replace the missing xsistors in the 300 section. I will report back tomorrow.

    My next rescue attempt- G07

Man it's missing at least a dozen xsisters, including x401_402, hot, vr, no neck board, ic 501, a bunch of parts below the filter cap, etc. etc. etc. This one will not be cheap. :)
