This is what classifies as an arcade now - New arcade opened in my town

I notice vendor stickers on them, so they don't even own any of the machines.

This is what classifies as an arcade now - New arcade opened in my town

Guessing they do not know what they are doing. Plus opening across the street from an another arcade/ food/ bar place was not smart. That place you can actually eat at. And I'm surprised that arcade is still open. It's not that big of town.

This is what classifies as an arcade now - New arcade opened in my town

I've always wanted to open an arcade in my town. I know it's not profitable without food and such. I never pulled the trigger. But what the heck is this that just opened? I have way more in my personal collection than what this is.

Ice Cold Beer remake? How good or bad is it?

What's the best place to buy the remake? Sold my original "restored" one I bought because of all the issues. Rather just buy a new one.

    Moving PP cockpit advice

I've moved 2 complete ones before with just my buddy and myself. We just moved the cabinet to the back of the truck, picked up the one end and set it on the bed door. Then lifted the back of the cabinet and slid it in the bed. If you can't close the bed door, then just be sure to strap it good.

Big Buck Hunter II Sportsman's Paradise Help!

EGA is medium resolution. Not sure how hard it is to get CRT monitors around you. I've pulled them from Golden Tee Fore machines before.

Big Buck Hunter II Sportsman's Paradise Help!

Uses a CRT to track. So no LCD. Also keep in mind that it is a EGA only game. Usually they had 27" tri resolution monitors

Can you run a raw thrills game with a dell optiplex 960 from 2008?

GFX - Nvidia 8400GS (256MB+) so you should be fine. With a small desktop like that, usually you need the half height (low profile) cards as the full size ones will not fit. Could also try to reinstall with no video card and use onboard. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185898319502 Dedicated...

Can you run a raw thrills game with a dell optiplex 960 from 2008?

That model is on their compatible list. I've removed the video card before and reinstalled the software and then it works without the video card. You might need a newer version of the software to install fresh.

Can you run a raw thrills game with a dell optiplex 960 from 2008?

I use the full tower Optiplex 740. The 740 has the onboard parallel port so you don't have to mess with the add in card (if you have a parallel dongle). I even replaced the mini desktop versions for the tower and just had to move the wood a bit in the conversion machines. The full tower runs...

Can you run a raw thrills game with a dell optiplex 960 from 2008?

Depending which games. It wasn't the 780, that was Intel based. It was the 740 which was nVidia. - Dell Optiplex 740 - Dell Optiplex 580 - Dell Optiplex 380 - Dell Optiplex 390 - Microtel w/ASRock N68C-GS FX AM3+ mother board

Anyone used an LED tube to swap out a fluoro?

LED tube lights are available in three types: Direct Fit (Plug and Play): Works with existing ballasts; ideal for a hassle-free installation. Ballast Bypass (Direct Wire): Requires removing the ballast and rewiring the fixture for direct connection. Hybrid: Compatible with ballasts but can also...

Any idea on where to locate one of these?

I picked up one of those for next to nothing as I bought out a small lot. This was in 2011. I could not find any info on that thing. I sold or gave it away. I think by board was not working correct and I could not find a working replacement. Hope you have better luck than I did. Ha, found the...

Soon I will be replacing the 25" tri res monitors in my Fast & Furious Drift machines for the Unico.

    Fast and Furious (2004) questions

Wells D9200 should be fine. It's a tri sync monitor. You have to know what resolution the PC is outputting. Guessing it is set to VGA since it displays on the LCD monitor fine. Some of the tri resolution monitors, you need to move wire harnesses on the neck board from CGA/EGA to VGA.

    Midwest Gaming Classic

Went Saturday. Haven't gone for the last 2 years. They sure don't have as many arcade machines as they use to. Had plenty of pinball, so that is where I spent most of the time. Wish I could've bought more stuff at the vendors, but it's mostly ebay or higher prices. I miss the old place when...

Why are there so many Fast & Furious machines for sale?

I have a pile of the full size Dell towers. Hopefully I will be good for a while. I swapped out all the smaller desktop version Dells as those were getting funky too.
