Hydro Thunder is a medium resolution (EGA) game. Needs to be hooked up normal and then take the original monitor output and hook that to the CGA/EGA to VGA converter. Then converter to the new VGA monitor.

Those video cards go bad all the time. I've had plenty that displayed artifacts on the screen. Replace with a good video card and they go away.

You need a Optiplex 740 for the AMD cpu and nVidia chipset. Optiplex 755 is Intel.

Looks correct. Bottom is input, top is output to monitor. Green is earth ground, so that's correct also.

The replacement was the Dell Optiplex 740. Nothing newer will work as the drivers on the restore disks are only for certain PCs. If XP was embedded in the OS (can't remember), then you could probably hack in a newer system.

Yes, if you are lucky. I know that style PC craps out. Caps bulge on those motherboards, so I'd look at that too. Most of those PCs were replaced with the Dell Optiplex 740.

There are 2 optic PCBs on the trackball. You just unplug the wires, swap and plug back in. Really easy.

If you have the new version of the Unico monitor, you won't need another converter. The pin input connector is the Japanese standard. Just have to make a connector so you can wire your video from the jamma straight to that. I have a Mortal Kombat 3 in an arcade and was sick of the CRT dying. So...

I've had the Dell PCs lose video function on the add in card. Remove the card and reinstall the software. On board video works fine. You may have to adjust the video memory in BIOS to add more video RAM.

Hopefully that doesn't get removed. I've seen other ones taken down due to copyright.
