My Gyruss boards are having a nervous breakdown. They are resetting over and over on boot. Replaced the ribbon cable, checked voltages, cleaned and reseated edge connectors etc. Looks like it needs smarter eyeballs than mine. Anyone repairing Konami boards?

Don’t know yet. My guess is the monitor chassis as the game does seem to play blind when it turns off.

This looks like a heat issue. I pulled the cab out and left it running with the back door off. It’s was perfectly fine for a good few hrs. I’ve put a fan in the cab, put the back door back on and slid it back into the lineup. Will see how it goes.

Yep agreed, I haven't had any time to start troubleshooting steps as my daughter had her birthday party in the Arcade last weekend, once I pull it out of the lineup I can start testing various pieces.

Yes Dylan is great, he has helped me out many times. Agreed, I need to pull the game out and see what is happening at the monitor during the blind activity, hopefully I can get to it over the weekend and get more details to work off of.

Yeah I'll redo all the headers, pins and housings. I think the last time I did 0.156 headers was on my Addams Family pin back in the day.

All the header connectors look to be pretty old, I'm sure they probably need to be replaced. No obvious burn or anything nasty like that though

That is one of the coolest little setups I have ever seen! I didn't know there was a mini-bike sit down version like this, I thought they were all much larger, I guess I was thinking about the original red hang on bike which was a lot longer with the full platform.

I have the exact same issue on one i got in yesterday. Figured it may be NVRam related as it is mostly scores and names. I’ll give this a try. Thanks for posting the question and solution.

Worked it out. Ac goes direct to the harness on the high voltage side first. We are in business.

My Mad Planets project came to me in pieces. I have a power brick with the transformer caps etc and a power cord with my hot neutral ground wires exposed on the end that goes to the brick. I can't work out where that power cord attaches to the brick. Anyone got a picture of theirs??

Cocktail monitors suck. I have 5 and they have 4 different neck sockets. FML
