Check out Taki Udon’s MisterPi. It’s half the price of the traditional Mister FPGA rigs. Otherwise you can try the suggestions I posted above for about $40 total.

I think you'd need to go HDMI to VGA first then to CGA. Why are you stuck on HDMI? Computer graphics card? Tell us a little more about your environment as there may be different ways to skin that cat. You could try getting an HDMI to VGA cable...

Looking at the last image you posted it looks pretty square too, seems to be a thing. I haven't hooked anything else up to it yet.

Looking at some videos online the aspect ratio does seem to be pretty square.

I picked up a hyper sports cab from a fellow KLOV member and have been going through it slowly. The monitor is a K4900 and has a nice picture but it's very square, sitting in the middle of the screen. I tried playing with the width coil, and while it's not stuck, it isn't having any effect on...

Had the same issue. Moved the tube to a different chassis and it was fine in my case FWIW

Have the same issue with a Matsu 13”. Sent to sharp Image repair to see if they can fix it. Mixed reviews on those guys so we will see

Yikes. They turned the chassis around in a few days and I have had it running ever since so far without any issue. Currently they are working on a Matsushita chassis for me so we will see how that goes. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, glad you shared it though.

Yep this is exactly what I ended up doing. Working now, just a bit of a cramped mess back there. The yoke still isn't right at 14ohms though, I have a 3.2/8.6 on the way that should match the chassis better.
