    Good source for blacklight carpets?

That's good I may try some more, out of these 4 just going by the photos I can't really decide lol. BTW, if you dont mind me asking, what kind of blacklights did you go with and how many did you use?

    Good source for blacklight carpets?

Yeah she was great, here are the 4 I asked for samples of... I've never messed with this stuff before so I wanted to get a range of styles from subtle to vibrant to see how well they'll react to my lighting.

Tools you don’t necessarily NEED for arcade repair, but are really great to use for it

Your welcome! I love mine, I found those just looking through their Amazon products page one day, they make all kinds of awesome pliers, but those are definitely my favorite.

Testing an Operation Wolf board with a Nintendo Zapper.

I recently bought an untested Operation Wolf board on here for one of my upcoming projects, upon receiving it and buying an Taito Classic jamma adapter I finally got around to testing it and found that it had no CPU activity whatsoever, fortunately it was just the result of a small break in the...

John's Arcade, are we seeing the final chapter?

I think that is correct but I believe the larger factor was the death of the mall and mall culture. I live near a small town in the appalachian mountains, but despite it's size we had 2 malls both with good arcades until the late 90's when a Walmart was built. After the Walmart was built several...

I love it when local people reach out to me and offer me first dibs on cool stuff! (Bump N' Jump pickup)

Got her going! I ended up not being able to swap just the chassis, the image on the original tube was just a small blurry mess, I believe someone fried the yoke by crossing up part of the vert and horz windings, which is probably why it kept blowing fuses. I maybe wrong but the yoke on the...

I love it when local people reach out to me and offer me first dibs on cool stuff! (Bump N' Jump pickup)

I got a message Friday evening from a distant friend who lives nearby on Facebook asking me if I was still into arcades and if I was interested in this for $100 before he posted it on market place... To which I had said definitely! I had never seen a Bump N' Jump in person myself before...

    Cabinet ID

That is a good question, I wonder if anyone recognizes that model of monitor. I have spare 19" monitors I could replace it with. I also wonder if I should feel bad about putting vinyl or laminate over the old art. It's kinda neat but it's faded and doesn't fit the theam of the game I want to put...

    Cabinet ID

Was looking on Facebook and found this cabinet for a fair price I need for a jamma, I was wondering if anyone had ever seen anything similar, I dont recognize it right off. The side art seems to be glossy which is odd. I don't want to jamma a special cab, so I wanted to see if anyone recognized...

Tools you don’t necessarily NEED for arcade repair, but are really great to use for it

I got a cheep m18 version off of Amazon and it is one of the best investments I have made in the hobby. When i was rewiring several connectors and cut wires in my Defender this past weekend I used it almost the whole day on the same battery.

Tools you don’t necessarily NEED for arcade repair, but are really great to use for it

Yeah I actually bought them for changing master links out on my ATVs chain but they work the same for e-clips and chain links. They are a real time and hand saver lol. Its also awesome that they can be used horizontally or vertically!

Tools you don’t necessarily NEED for arcade repair, but are really great to use for it

I used regular Klein flush cutters for years but after I switched most of my pliers to Tsunodas, I got these Tsunoda angled tip cutters. Oh man are they great for getting to those tight to reach places, they come in handy so often. I had to remove 4 ram chips on a 8080 Space Invaders board (if...

Have you guys ever had something or someone scare you at a bad time while you were working on a game?

I have so far been lucky in avoiding exploding caps, I did have a tantalum capacitor blow on a Mouse Trap power supply once but I was out of the room when it happened lol, but I've come close once or twice to putting a connector on backwards and luckily caught myself at the last second.

Have you guys ever had something or someone scare you at a bad time while you were working on a game?

Earlier this morning I had replaced a broken set of convergence rings on one of my K4600s and was trying to fine tune the convergence on it, so you know, my hands are near a powered yoke and anode cap. Well, as I am working on it, this old empty 5 gal tin oil can I have sitting just outside of...

How did operators get flyers back in the day?

That is awesome, I have never seen a press kit, thanks for sharing!

How did operators get flyers back in the day?

That is neat, I assumed most flyers would have been mailed to operators, I wouldn't have guessed trade shows and walk-ins where the more common method.
