Street Fighter II bad PAL chip or bad A board graphics processor... or both.

The stuff that looks like liquid damage is from the sticky residue from the foam. I thought that all that mattered was the code on the PAL chips? Such as both of these are BPAG1. I thought another BPAG1 from the same game would work I didn't know they were deferent other than that, thanks for...

Street Fighter II bad PAL chip or bad A board graphics processor... or both.

I have this unknown version (maybe Hyper?) of Street Fighter II in my possession. It was given to me because it ran but it had garbled graphics. I assumed it was just a common bad graphics processor, but I swear I had read somewhere long ago that a faulty PAL chip (TIBPAL16L8-15CN) at A1 can...

Sega System 16b Decryption and Conversion

That's why I was confused, I also found this here on klov. @caius mentioned it. https://forums.arcade-museum.com/threads/27c301-eproms.407000/ "They are used to replace 28pin non-JEDEC 1Mbit MASK ROMs You can find 27C301 ( or most of times 27C1000) on few boards like Sega System16 or Namco...

Sega System 16b Decryption and Conversion

Do you know what those roms would be? And how would that 32-pin 27c1000 they suggested even work in a 28 pin socket? Vcc would be on the NC pin and Vpp on A15?

Sega System 16b Decryption and Conversion

I have a Tetris (5358) System 16b board with a suicided FD1094. I was looking into the process of replacing the FD1094 with a 10mghz 68000 and doing the necessary steps to convert it to an unencrypted Alien Syndrome, and I wanted others opinions on the process to make sure I understand it...

Thanks! I believe this is the 6116 you are referring to correct? https://www.arcadepartsandrepair.com/store/integrated-circuits/ram-memory/6116-slimline-ram/ And I assume the 35 in the part number is the 35ns. I'll get these and some sockets, I really don't want to wait 3 weeks for the ebay...

Neo Geo MVS 1 Slot video ram error. [SOLVED]

Just a quick update, I ordered the replacements from ebay, they will be in a few weeks or so. Checking the old ones with a ttl logic probe show the data lines 4,5 & 6 on one of the chips are stuck low, even when power cycling the board they stay stuck low.

What is the best way to restore an Arkanoid spinner?

Got an Arkanoid recently, the spinner is kinda clunky though, and a little hard to control when playing, what is the best way to smooth up the spinner? Just disassemble and clean? And what is the best kind of lubricant/grease when reassembling?

Space Invaders Deluxe missing sounds for saucer hit and missile.

An oscilloscope is one of those few things I still need to buy (along with a tube rejuvenator) but yes the explosion sound is working. Nothing is visually broken, I just reflowed everything to no avail, but some the solder on the top side of the board still looks corroded I guess the next step...
