    Hollywood Heat drop target problem

I know about the ground mods. I haven't had time to do them. The game is glitchy sometimes. It may reset during attract mode or game but that shouldn't have anything to do with a non working flipper.

    Hollywood Heat drop target problem

Well, I dug into the schematics and figured out how the drop target bank reset coils are driven. I checked Q64 which resets the right bank and Q63 that turns it on and both are good. Put them back in the board and the board back in the cabinet and the reset coil no longer locks on. It seems to...

    Hollywood Heat drop target problem

On my Hollywood Heat (Gottlieb System 80B) the right target bank reset coil seems stuck on. I was thinking shorted driver but it doesn't do it all of the time, just most of it. Also, the right mini flipper no longer works. Not sure if these are related. There seems to be no fuse for...

Ever work on LOTS of pinball machines?

Addams is a great game. I have had the pleasure of working on a couple of them. I don't have near the experience that you have but I have probably done 40 or so shop jobs. I didn't rebuild pop bumpers and just did flipper rebuilds when necessary. After about 10 years of not doing that kind...

My latest addition, a nice Shadow

Shadow is a great game. I worked on a few and test played them. I did not understand the game and then I watched the movie. It made a hell of a lot more sense afterward. I would be extremely happy if I were to own one someday.

Self Dropping Drop Targets, what games use them?

I guess so. I never noticed but I haven't had any pins for a decade, until recently.

    Tommy pin issue

Wiring or the driver transistor that fires the kicker.

Self Dropping Drop Targets, what games use them?

My Gottlieb Hollywood Heat has drop targets that the game can drop when it wants to. Each target has a coil next to it that drops the target when triggered. There are two banks of these. During multiball, if you hit a target in one bank, the game knocks down the same target in the other bank...

    Tuesday Night Pin Pick Up!!

Simple play field layout but tons of fun.

So what did you do to your pins today....

Nothing yet. I have been putting off changing bad lamps because I don't really feel like removing the playfield glass. It always makes me nervous.

May or may not have just unintentionally put myself into a cheesy 80's film plot

Oh, I thought maybe you were making an arcade related porno.

What is the best pinball game(s) to start collecting with?

EM pins are fine if you buy one that is 100% working. All those relays and switches. You could be banging your head on that for a long time if things are not in perfect working order.

Black Knight 2000 is in my house? Holy Crap!

Love the music and the knight taunting you. Some of the best pin music ever.

Black Knight 2000 is in my house? Holy Crap!

I love BK 2000. I miss the one I used to have. It was not in great shape but it played well. It had cabinet and playfield wear. It was a players game, not a collectors game. It went to a couple that played it when they were dating and really wanted one. It made someone happy. I still miss...

    Hollywood Heat settings questions

I don't have a manual and I was wondering if somebody could help me out a little. I do have the dipswitch card on the inside of the backbox. How do I change the score needed to earn a replay? Is that switch selectable or do I have to do something else? The other question is there is a...

Bull Fight EM score motor runs all the time

What happens upon being plugged in, is something in the head clicks and the lights go completely out. If you trip the coin switch, everything lights up and the score motor runs continuously. There is a solenoid that simultaneously activates 3 stacks of switches in the vicinity of the score...

Bull Fight EM score motor runs all the time

Tried disabling the two relays that are stuck on. Didn't help much. Not really any idea where to go from here.

Bull Fight EM score motor runs all the time

Yeah, I figured that part out for myself.

Bull Fight EM score motor runs all the time

Checked two vibration switches, one on the playfield, other in the bottom of the cabinet. No problems there. Don't know what other reason there might be for the tilt relay being on.

Bull Fight EM score motor runs all the time

I haven't had much time to work on the game but I did find that two relays are energized when the score motor is running. They are the Hold and Tilt relays (according to the labels). Is there anything that might tilt the game besides the plumb bob (currently disabled). The slam switch on the...
