Pac-man plug: is it original? how to repair?

For just replacing a plug i like these ones as they don't stick out from the wall as much as a standard plug does and you can adjust it so it fits best. I've got them on my jukebox and change machine that sit close to the wall as well as the cocktail row so thereta little less chance of someone...

What fixed your game today / general repair log

Rowe R86 jukebox Symptom: No sound when record was playing. Troubleshooting and repair: Started with the amp. Circuit breaker was not tripped so decided to try unplugging it while a record was playing. When unplugged the amplifier it would play just fine for a few seconds as the capacitors in...

    How does this come off?

This right here. We use Kroil at work when working on all sorts of stuff in the power plant and I've seen it work miracles on some of those turbine parts that have been exposed to incredible high heat, lots of rust and or not taken apart in 15-20 years. It does take a good while sometimes to...

    What are these screws called?

So here's what I did on my Qbert that was missing these screws. At work we had a bunch of these little plastic thumb screw knobs that you press onto a socket head cap screw. So I just found 4 that were the right size for a 6-32 screw and pressed them on. Not original but I like how they look and...

Space Invaders Deluxe: I think I really screwed this one up now

Oh awesome I just played that machine over the summer!

    Target Terror issue

I replaced the battery on the motherboard and set it up so the PC turns on when you flick the main power switch. Also took the guns apart, fixed the player 1 gun after dropping it on the floor and replaced the shell for the player 1 gun which was a nasty green one that the previous owner put on...

    Target Terror issue

Figured I'd give an update on this project. I gave up on the MS9 and sold it to someone on facebook and wound up finding a Neotec monitor through a guy I bought another machine from. Did the standard cap kit and had to replace a couple components but I'm happy to say Target Terror is now up and...

    Raiden II questions

Oh awesome thanks! I actually think I bought one of these chips from you off of ebay. Just got it a couple days ago but haven't gotten a chance to install it in yet

    Raiden II questions

Thought I'd give an update on this. So I ordered a new power supply and while I was taking the old wires off I noticed that while the two "Ground" terminals had wires going to them the "FG" spot had nothing hooked up to it and on the new power supply this was labeled with the symbol for ground...

    Coin door screw question

So I wound up finding it. I was walking around on the other side of the room and stepped on something. Looked down and turned out to be the screw. Guessing I dropped it and must have either kicked it or I set it on one of the cocktails and it fell on the floor. But am glad to have found it

    Coin door screw question

I have a Raiden II machine inside a converted Toobin cabinet and I took one of the screws out of the coin return lamp sockets so I could get the bulb out to figure out what kind I needed. But I dropped it somewhere and after spending a good while looking for it but with the pattern on my carpet...

    Raiden II questions

I just checked it as it was the first 5v terminal I saw. But they do have a good handfull of wires attached to it. So I don't know what it's running. I don't think the power supply is either one of those brands. I'll order a new power supply and put it in there.

    Raiden II questions

So I checked the voltages on the power supply. Before adjusting the knob on the front the -5 was around 7.5v and with the adjustment knob turned down as far as it will physically turn the -5v is measuring around 6.9v and the 12v is measuring around 9-9.5v. I didn't measure the +5 since seeing as...

    Raiden II questions

I'll have to check the voltages and see what they are. I haven't really done much of anything to it yet besides just cleaned the connections on the board and the molex connector that connected to the control panel. It does look like a generic power supply as the only branding I see on it is a...

    Raiden II questions

Thanks so much for the link to the manual! Going to get that printed off and might just attach the page with the DIP settings inside the cabinet for easy reference. I unhooked the pcb and sure enough it must be the amp on the board as I couldn't hear anything with it unhooked. Looks like I'll be...

    Raiden II questions

I just bought a Raiden II machine the other day and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to adjust the difficulty settings on it? I've also got another little issue with it. So there's a faint static sound coming through the speakers. You don't really notice it too much when the game is...

    Target Terror issue

Been messing with the game some more and I think I'm done trying to get that MS9 to work with this game. I can't get it to display the image quite right and I think it's time to get rid of it and try messing with that Kortek monitor that I also have (once I figure out where the power plugs into...

    Target Terror issue

It's always good when it's an easy thing like that though. Now I have to finish adjusting the monitor and then get some help putting it back in the machine and hopefully it will work.

    Target Terror issue

So I figured out why the colors were off. I was stupid and had the pin for the red and blue signals to the monitor reversed so everything that should have been red was blue and blue was red. Flipped those around and it's looking better haha

    Target Terror issue

So I did the mod for the MS9 to get it to run VGA resolution and it worked pretty well. But for some reason if I run the diagnostic screens with the RGB bars that's built into the game the colors come out great, the white looks good and all that. But when I go and actually run the game for some...
