Yes the 500DX, Mike has a great video on them. I was able to fix mine, and I'm no expert ( you knew that 😆) Maybe they are not a super reliable monitor in a commercial setting, but for home use? Just fine. Personally I think the stretched out image looks like crap and the OP should take that...

What happened to the Neotec 500? I liked mine and they usually just have a bad filter cap.

Tube swapping a 25" wells gardener chassis/monitor combo.

What were your H & V readings? Perhaps whatever took out the tube also damaged the chassis.

Are all the connections correct? Power Ground Degaus Signal Yoke Is the chassis rebuilt?

Tube swapping a 25" wells gardener chassis/monitor combo.

Absolutely, be sure to keep track of H and V and just use wire nuts until you know they are correct and you don’t have to swap either set if you get a mirror or upside down image.

Neotec NT-3501 FF Neck board socket type?

I’d like to hook my BK 467 to this monster 39” tube from a Hydro Thunder deluxe. I only have the common CR-31 & 23 connectors. https://tubular.atomized.org/tube/A90AGW14X04 Does anyone know what type of socket is on the NT 3500’s? Is it a a CR-71? Thanks

Yup. Thanks guys. Found confirmation floating around in the bottom of the cab, and have the chassis and tray on the way.

    Mortal Kombat typical chassis?

I'm going to try and unscrew this MK2 monitor. It does work but…well it can't stay like this. What chassis is usually in one of these? I'll be getting into it in the next few days to get yoke readings. Thanks

Thanks I will follow the advice from your first post as soon as I can power it up again. I read somewhere on here you could do some testing on the flyback with just a DMM so I figured I would poke and hope. Drew

    A few readings from the flyback with a DMM. Probably not how you would test these but a few readings marked ? don't make sense to me. 10-9 0.2ohms 10-8 0.4ohms 10-3 0.1ohms ? 10-6 open 9-8 0.4ohms 9-3 0.2ohms ? 9-6 open 8-3 0.8ohms 8-6 open 8-5 0.4ohms 3-6 open ? 5-6 open ? 2-6 open ? 1-2 1.2ohms

Thanks I'm saving that one for future reference. Based on that my HOT is good. Looking into some bench tests with just a multimeter for the flyback now.

Thanks, I didn't know that about the HOT, I wasn't getting the expected .5v like I do when going from B to C. No static or signs of life at all, I have the chassis out and the fuse holder broke off on one side when I barely touched it so a new holder and a flyback while I'm at it are on the way...
