Missile Command Track Ball Not Working in Either Direction

Sounds like a failed POKEY to me. Put it in test mode and see what comes up.

Cap my Moon Patrol Sound Board?

That's right. I forgot all about that one, I replaced it as well.

Cap my Moon Patrol Sound Board?

FWIW, all I had to do to revive sound (at least as far as I can recall) was to reseat the socketed chips on that board. And you might as well double-check the 12v power going to the audio card. Worth a try, at least...

There are plenty of Pioneer B20FU20-51FW's on ebay.

What fixed your game today / general repair log

I spent about 20 years working with fighter pilots, they used that a lot. I never asked any of them to spell it for me, though...

What fixed your game today / general repair log

I have a franken-Defender Multi-Williams with a JROK and a Moon Patrol stack mated to a 2-way JAMMA switcher. I'd originally been using one of the old Lupine Systems switchers, which were built for the infamous PC Amusements bootleg cabs back in the early 2000's (I recycled it out of a cab I...

    Powder coating wanted in Detroit

I don't know anything about Detroit, but I'd recommend looking for a motorcycle customization shop. That's where I've had my powder coating done (you have a good example of it!). If it's a small part they can just throw it in with other stuff they're doing anyway and you should get a discount.

Star Trek Voyager NOT AUTHORIZED help!

Wouldn't do any good, too far out of range for communications.

+5v JAMMA pin burned out on switcher

That was an excellent observation and suggestion from @RiddledTV... turns out the custom wiring harness I'd had made for this Frankenstein had one measley 5v wire, and it wasn't even 18ga. I went back in and added new wires for all four 5v pins (benefits of a beefy PSU), and replaced the burned...

+5v JAMMA pin burned out on switcher

I took apart the harness cover, and that is exactly the case: +5v is only connected at a now-scorched Pin 4. Would be easy to run additional 5v lines from the PSU to the remaining pins (and replace the bad one).

Clyde is yellow because he's scared IYAM.

+5v JAMMA pin burned out on switcher

Had a weird failure in my Multi-Williams over the weekend. I'd had a BitKit2 in the second slot of the JAMMA switcher that usually alternates between a JROK and a Moon Patrol stack (with a JAMMA adapter). Decided I wanted Moon Patrol back, so I pulled the BitKit and plugged the stack back in...

Atari POKEY Chips Failing more often these days???

Age seems like the most obvious reason. As time passes more and more of them are going to hit the failure curve.

Which Atari AVG Replacement is Best?

I ran across this DIY page and repository (disclaimer: this is the first time I've seen this project, and I don't know anything about it other than "this exists") this morning: https://nmikstas.github.io/portfolio/avgCPLD/avgCPLD.html Arcadeshop has stock, just looked at their page.

    Atari Black Widow Troubleshooting

Does an AVG fail also damage other components on the game board, or just ("just") croak the monitor? (Taking notes here for future work.)
