  1. Rap Video Shot In The Arcade

    Made me laugh, thanks.
  2. Rap Video Shot In The Arcade

Is this the guy that shuts down emulation websites like Nintendo? Never understood why some "rappers" feel the need to rhyme the same word a lot and call it a chorus. At least he didn't smash up the bricks of your place like Mario...
  3. Mini Nintendo knockoff

I actually picked up a few knock off Nintendo mini ebay consoles recently planning to use the case and controls (if they worked well enough) for a RPi. In the end I bought a Retroflag Nespi case instead of gutting the knockoffs. The "Cool Baby" is actually ok (for what it costs, although not...
  4. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

I've only tried a Happ trackball with a OptiWiz, works fine, don't have any others to try. I don't have a spinner to try/ recommend. I'm not familar with the harness but as long as it's JAMMA it should be fine.
  5. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

Try MAME 0.172, it runs fine (although may have an audio issue? it could be normal I don't know this game at all), there shouldn't be any difference in the input handling between 172 on Pi and on desktops - at least I didn't change any input code when compiling it.
  6. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

If you haven't already I'd try different versions of MAME but no idea if it will help, that's about all I can think of.
  7. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

advmame == mame106 EDIT: I did some research and... Razamataz has sound in MAME172 seems to run full speed from the quick testing I just did, you will need to set the controls up for the game to be playable though. Set them for just that game, you will need to set the analog inc and dec...
  8. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

You may find you can adjust the sensitivity of your analog controls in MAMEs menus to correct the paddle issue, or maybe depending on the original game it could have a calibration setting in it's service menu. Haven't spent a lot of time on analog controls, so I may be well off.
  9. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

Just going by my published list of what runs where as I don't really know these games: cheekyms Cheeky Mouse advmame magspot Magical Spot advmame magspot2 Magical Spot II advmame razmataz Razzmatazz mame078 they may not be perfect, I'm not particularly familar with these ones.
  10. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

That should be right as the layouts were moved to /boot/attract-layouts at version 3.71 to make the layouts easier to access. Did you update from 3.7 or 3.71? Did the new hotkeys stuff install OK? (just wondering if anything went wrong when you updated) Tiny PVM bros.
  11. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

That theme was the starting point for this one. The original author has beta versions of my changes so I expect he will probably fix the starfield up now. There's a few other differences in the 2 versions of the theme but they're similar. Mine is basically his enhanced with some code from...
  12. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

X68000 is possible to add, I'm pretty sure there's an emulator available for it. How would it go without a keyboard though? I hadn't really thought about adding it as I assumed it would require a keyboard to some extent. I'm tempted to add ColecoVision just because I think Jumpman would have...
  13. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

ARpiCADE 3.72 bugfix update WARNING: I consider this update a bit experimental, it's working great for me but is a big enough change to the existing codebase that it is possible I have missed something in testing. Otherwise it's just a quick bugfix update to be installed over 3.71. Contains a...
  14. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

are your framefiles also in a folder named the same as the rom? EDIT: eg. /roms/daphne/roms/lair.zip /roms/daphne/framefile/lair/[actual frame files]
  15. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

It's very early days yet for arpicade.com, I'm sure it will improve with time. As you're only the second person who I've heard has had any issue with updating it's not surprising there's not too much out there about it yet. Was your SD card the regular vanilla 3.7 release or a customised...
  16. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

RaspberryJAMMA could absolutely be used to make a new game. Although I don't think anyone has done it yet. There were a couple of people discussing doing that earlier on in this thread. No idea if anything came of it though.
  17. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

There's no video guide or online instructions beyond what I've included with the release. <b> HOW TO UPDATE: 1. Download the update and unzip it. 2. Copy the file update.sh and the folder 371update with its entire contents to /boot/config-updater (on a SD card with ARpiCADE 3.7 installed) 3...

  19. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

if you use ARpiCADE you could make it boot to Dragons Lair by editing /boot/run.sh The command to run dragons lair would be: /boot/launchers/daphne.sh lair >/dev/null 2>&1 put it just after the now loading message (the >/dev/null bit is just silencing the console output), if you leave either...
  20. RaspberryJAMMA - JAMMA adaptor for RPi

The reset button is connected to the run header on the pi, it's useful if the system locks up for some reason as it will reset the pi without causing corruption to the SD card. It will also restart a powered down (but still plugged in) pi. You can get a way without having one just fine...
