Peter Chou Power Supply (in Midway Cabinet)

The only peter chous imo worth repairing were the i think called XL models or was it XT the big ones that were in dynamo, 3koam, some neo geo cabs, because the modern replacement you kinda have to retro fit them or they will leave gaps in the cab or on the dynamos case not have the on off switch...

What Video Card do I need for PowerPutt version 1.00.07?

IIRC 7300 or 7600 are the only 2 that will work with that one but if you just call IT tech support they will tell you. I have it in my notes somewhere but not near them atm.

    Anyone use these cheap testers?

https://a.co/d/cLRf2vd I use this cheapy, same one Zenomorph uses in his monitor chassis videos. It has come in handy before using along side my fluke. Mostly use it for monitor chassis transistors and poly caps. I mean it seems to do what its suppose to for 20$.

Is this a Total Carnage cabinet?

A lot. Mostly the back end and the large control panel. The only other cabinet i know of that is the same as high impact was one of Midways Universal cab versions. Total Carnage used the exact same cab as Mk1 and another popular Midway omniflex universal cabinet. You know this forum is a part...

Ive had before where the I/O board chip got scrambled very similar was the correct chip but had a weird similar error, I had to send it to IT to straighten it out. Happened after changing the I/O board and moving the chip to the new I/O board

Needing help with an troubleshooting an area 51 site 4

Well just so happens the area51 site4 I have on the route had an issue with the player 2 guns not working and its not the gun, whatever gun plugs in to player 2 will not register. You know they knew the board had issues when they printed on it "Well this rates about a 9 on my weird-sh*t-ometer"...

I would agree. Ive looked before and it was almost like that mobo never existed. I forgot the JAMMA side was technically called a JAMMIT board lol. Should of called it DAMNIT. The irony of it being top end at the time because of using an actual cpu mobo then years later its super unreliable...

Needing help with an troubleshooting an area 51 site 4

As mecha said the caps on the motherboard were shit, ive replaced them on the two boards I have. Both had domed caps near the processor. Also be careful turning the 5v up that far you can damage it. Check the mobo or take a picture of it and post it to see if the caps are bad, they might be bad...

    Golden tee 2005

😂 I bought a nice Hako 2-1 solder/hot air rework and ive yet to use it for surface mount components only to help to desolder the caps on newer video cards and mobos that can be stubborn and the iron a little but oddly I prefer my shitty old Weller plug in soldering iron to it so go figure. Ive...

    Golden tee 2005

Ive heard of a few people going over it with the hot air rework and it fixed there problem. However it could very well be the video card too and yes it has to be that 3dfx voodoo 2 card, they over heated really bad what i always did was glue a dc fan onto the heatsink.

Mortal Kombat II Sound Issues - Dying Amp?

Youve replaced the ribbon cable going to the main board to the sound board? Varmits like chewing on them for some reason think it has to be the plastic coating and they have really thin wires was a common problem in valley dart machines where they had like 5 ribbon cables.

Who repairs Atari Games Area 51 Maximum Force PCBs?

Eh unfortunately on those everything is surfaced mounted maybe like 2 or 3 socketed chips and probably not them. So yeah they are the best bet.
