    G05-802 yoke rotation

I was just going to respond that it didn't make any difference, when I tried one more time, and suddenly got it to work. Moving them together adjusted vertical, while separating them adjusted horizontal. No idea how I was screwing it up before. ("Before" being after my first misguided...

    G05-802 yoke rotation

A couple more questions about adjusting this monitor (actually a G05-801, presumably swapped in at some point). One, I tried to adjust the image center with the yoke rings, but both rings adjusted the Y axis. Am I missing something here? Two, I couldn't get the yoke to come free after...

What Atari cabinet is this? Was converted to a Road Riot

Can you pull it out for a profile shot? That would probably answer it.

    G05-802 yoke rotation

I was hoping that was the case. Thanks!

    G05-802 yoke rotation

The image on my new Battlezone is off a few degrees ccw. I've never attempted to adjust the yoke on one of these. Anything I should know before I give it a go? Thanks! -Jim

    Cleaning a half-silvered mirror

Nice. ;) So in all seriousness, is windex safe for the silvered side?

    Cleaning a half-silvered mirror

I need to clean the mirror in my newly acquired Battlezone. Any recommendations?

    Battlezone hangs

Okay, the "image shrinking" bit was actually an illusion. The image is actually slightly rotated. Looks like a yoke adjustment is in order. Thanks, all, for the replies. -Jim

    New acquisition

It is indeed a BL vs a BLB. Which is why I have to find one. The only local place I know of wants $20 for them.

    New acquisition

Now I need to find a black light tube, and clean the dust off the mirror and the monitor.

    New acquisition

This arrived in my basement last night. Needs a good cleaning, but I think it will fit in very well. :D

    Battlezone hangs

Reseated the interconnects, and it fired up. I think reflowing those headers, and replacing the interconnects is probably in order. Other than that, I've got a pretty loud hum in the audio (sound fully works, though). Guess it's time to do some AR2 thread reading. The final issue is the...

    Battlezone hangs

My (soon to be ex-) boss just gave me a Battlezone. Was working until this summer. When powered on, it makes the "tank noise" for a little while, makes a little skip, and repeats endlessly. Screen is blank. Test mode yields this: I haven't had time to dig into it, yet. I did take a few...

How can I keep my Mr. Do! Control Panel from moving around?

Odd. If I remember right, might actually bolts ( ) in place. I'll take a look when I get home. -Jim

    Coin Door question

Just to clarify, it is a Defender coin door. Just not the early stainless type. It's the later style, like they used on Stargate. Might have been made by Coin Controls, but I'm not sure on that bit.

    Coin Door question

I've got a later-style coin door on my Defender. It's just the bare door, no coin slots or whatnot. Nothing to attach anything to. Can anyone tell me where I can get coin buttons, etc? I'm not even sure what to call the parts. I need the whole mechanism: bezels, buttons, framework it all...

Bob Roberts Quick Order Tool Alpha

FYI, McAfee reports your site as "malicious." No idea why (nor do I believe it). Don't know if you can convince them to re-scan it or not. I wouldn't care, except our corporate firewall uses McAfee's lists. -Jim

    Forget the 19-in-1...

Their flash program leaves a bit to be desired. At least once, when I flashed the original bootloader, a previous u-boot config stuck around causing trouble. It's also not obvious to me how BL1 calculates the location of BL2. Oddly, both 1 and 2 are u-boot. The flasher flashes the first...
