people are asking $700 for a 6100 alone these days and $250 to $350 for a working board, and thats just two of the things your missing. I've seen a few complete and working recently for less. Im sorry, but at $500 theres no way its worth saving. Thats not being a troll, thats just reality.

Thanks for the response Adam, was hoping it was something you came across on your fix. I'm not sure where to go from here. The one thing that i found is that if i remove the eprom at 21j-0-1 and turn the board on, it boots up to the same yellow garbage that i had before i replaced the main cpu...

I checked all the eproms yesterday and one on them, the the one at 21j-0-1 came back bad. this is a rom for the sound CPU, the 63701 that wont come up in a rom check. I thought I had it, it had to be the cause of this bad rom, its for the sound cpu right.....no, no change. I then checked pin 40...

xodaraP, thanks for the response. To be honest with you I've been working on this board so much i forgot what made me change out the main cpu, probably was something i saw with the logic probe or just out of due diligence. obviously there were multiple problems with the board. I can see another...

I bought a Double Dragon from ebay a few months ago (not working). It had yellow and white garbage on the screen and would not boot to the self test mode. I decided to try and swap out the main cpu, a HD63C09 at IC41. after changing out the cpu with a new IC i got the test screen but it stops...
