  1. Need help identifying a pin

Maybe it was Black Rose and some numbskull operator put the cannon in backwards! http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=313
  2. Websites to Buy Pinball Parts

I'll add that actionpinball.com has a decent selection of USED parts as well as new. I recently found a good condition used saucer kicker assembly - the sort of thing that you'd normally have to scrounge for at a flea market.
  3. Star Trek: Mirror Universe Pinball

Actually, if you look at the orientation of the angled "tip" of the blade halves, those half-circles will be along the outside edges of the sword... I'm puzzled...
  4. Star Trek: Mirror Universe Pinball

    Legs? Maybe...
  5. Help identify game

Looking on ipdb, the only 4 player Williams EM that even comes close would be Aztec (http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=119). A separate search for ANY EM with an egyptian theme only yielded two possible results - both Bally - King Tut (http://ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=1378) and King...
  6. Paragon

Be careful what wax you use. You should use the purest form of Carnauba wax you can find. Really, this means it's going to be a hard paste wax. Any sort of "soft" or "liquid" wax is more of a cleaner wax and it's got tons of other solvents and crap in it that over time can cause damage to...
  7. Paragon

Wow - seriously, that is one of the nicest Paragon playfields I've ever seen. The wear is really not that bad at all, and you're right - the backglass is pristine. $850 knowing it'll likely need some board work is probably on the high side, but that game is so totally worth it. It never gets...
  8. Which machine would you choose?

My top choices would be DH followed by T2 (a simple but fast, fun game). LiS is intriguing - I've never played one in person, but have played in in visual pinball. It's not deep but it looks and sounds great.
  9. Finally a decent score on my JP

That beats my all-time best of 1.3 billion. I got that before I swapped out the ROMs on my JP, so the score was lost and now my best is a meager 750M or so. Nicely done!
  10. Star Trek: Mirror Universe Pinball

Wow - what an awesome idea. Love it! But you have to find a way to get an Agonizer in there somewhere (outlane graphics?). Maybe the text for the top orbit can reference an agonizer in some way? The mirror Spock also had a good short quote that could be used somewhere: "Terror must be...
  11. purchase advice?

For a project pin, that's not a terrible price, but as a pinball noob, I really think you'd be better off getting a working pin for your first. Maybe not 100% but it should be playable. Better to learn to fix things as they break, than having to dive right in and troubleshoot something that's...
  12. Williams Indiana Jones pinball restoration

Wow - looks like an awesome project. I can't believe the playfield is in such good condition considering the horrendous condition of those habitrails. It really must not have been played very much - all the better for you. Best of luck to you!
  13. Rollergames / Time Machine Ressurection thread.

Damn, that sucks. Just reading that made my blood pressure rise...
  14. Pics of my FIRE pinball.

    Spectacular!
  15. My Immaculate PINBOT pics and story.

You, sir, are one fortunate SOB. I can only PRAY that someday an opportunity like that comes my way. Fire! is a beautiful game even when its age shows - I can only imagine what a pristine example looks like. The PinBot is spectacular, too. Wow. Simply, wow.
  16. mata hari question

Classic Playfields is going to be releasing repro. playfields hopefully within a year. They will go for (I think) about $575. MH is a fun game, challenging, too. If it's fully functioning, $300 is a good price. If you decide you like it, you can always replace the PF - either a new...
  17. Finally found a Paragon!

Nice pickup. Paragon is a most excellent game - a great game to teach patience and flipper skills. One of the most infuriating games I've ever played, but one of those "Ah, just ONE MORE game..." type of games. Enjoy it!
  18. Today's pickup. "spared no expense"

Love the game - a great value. Glancing at yours, it looks like the little rubber covers/condoms on the lightbulbs over the scoops and the main ramp are white, and not the correct colors. Should place an order for those along with the flipper bats. Also, I mentioned this in another thread...
  19. Anybody here going to PAPA

I will probably be going to PAPA. I'm pretty sure they run PAPA in much the same way as they run Pinburgh - many games are set aside for tournament play (and clearly marked as such). The rest of the games are open to the public. For Pinburgh, they had almost 200 games set aside for the...
  20. Dirty Harry Pin- what's it worth

I have played several different Dirty Harry's and I rather enjoyed it. The sounds and VO are great. The modes are not difficult to grasp, but can be challenging to fully complete. I would definitely consider adding one to my collection at some point in the future. Good luck with it.
