Have you tried it with the original power supply? This still looks like a power on reset problem. I know how frustrating this is, try the original power supply and measure the voltages at the board.

I highly recommend both of you start by installing the Braze kit because it does not require roms and will perform the testing. Then if it is all working you can install roms if you want to keep it original. I doubt that you would ever take it out, it is a great kit.

Have you checked the reset circuit, pin 10 ? Also the Braze kit works in most Taito boards, Braze does supply a Taito version rom set.

There are a couple of different types depending on the game version b&w AA017751 colour AAM60009 You will find a lot more information if you google those numbers.

You just have to change the dip switches on your version, can not remember the exact setting however it involves dip 5, 6 and 7
