  2. Robotron 1-3-1 (I know..)

Replacing those chips fixed it. Thanks to everyone who helped.
  3. Robotron 1-3-1 (I know..)

Two bad chips on the ROM board - 7411 and 7425. After testing in circuit I pulled them and both failed on the tester. I don't have either so I'm ordering a few. Update when they're in.
  4. Robotron 1-3-1 (I know..)

They all read out correctly. I'll try pulling them all but E7
  5. Robotron 1-3-1 (I know..)

Thanks for the offer BR. Luckily I have a working sinistar to swap boards with. Braedel I installed the sinistar rom board in robotron with the robotron CPU board. So I eliminated power, and the robotron CPU board. I'm working on the robotron ROM board. I verified the 6821 is good as is the...
  6. Robotron 1-3-1 (I know..)

Thanks Brad. I'll run those tests tomorrow. Thinking it might be a decoder, I grabbed them from my working sinistar and same issue. Then I grabbed the CPU board from the sinistar and tried it. Same-ish bank 3 ram issues. I'm thinking I need to go through the rom board next.
  7. Robotron 1-3-1 (I know..)

checked power at both boards. Checked those first it changes but it's generally not moving. Looks more like garbage on the screen

Sorry, yeah that all checks out
  9. Robotron 1-3-1 (I know..)

I've pulled every ram chip and tested them on a tester. The game originally came up with a 1-3-8 which was actually bad and after I replaced it then got the 1-3-1. I tested all of the following 74153's 7474's and the logic chips 7486,7408,7410,7404 I didn't test the shift registers yet. I...
  10. K7500 Shutdown - I want to send out for repair

Also, I did send it to Behrmr. I've been screwing with it too long and I'm not a fan of working on monitors anyway.
  11. K7500 Shutdown - I want to send out for repair

I did adjust the shutdown voltage to .1. Before I replaced the pot the shutdown voltage would fluxuate. Afterwards it was pretty solid right around .1 That was this first thing I did. Like I said before, I did read all the tips and suggestions and tried most of them.
  12. K7500 Shutdown - I want to send out for repair

I've got a K7500 that works 98% of the time and randomly goes into shutdown. When it does I power cycle it and it comes right back on. I've read all the posts I can find. Replaced the shutdown adjustment pot. Replaced the zener in the shutdown circuit. Tested components. I've had enough and I...
  13. Area 51/Maximum Force schematic needed. Trigger always high on left gun interface

Thanks all. I ordered a few from digikey. I have a hot air station so should be an easy fix.
  14. Area 51/Maximum Force schematic needed. Trigger always high on left gun interface

Looking closer at the board seems likely it’s the ls14 inverter
  15. Area 51/Maximum Force schematic needed. Trigger always high on left gun interface

I’ve switched guns and both guns work in position 2. Neither trigger works in position 1, but the gun tracking does work. Trying to troubleshoot it but I can’t find a schematic. It’s non-dedicated jamma board. Any help would be appreciated.
  16. Looking for Tech in South Bend IN.

A guy bought a game from me, target terror gold. It's worked fine for a couple of months and he says it doesn't power on now. I walked him through checking the fuse but he doesn't feel comfortable doing much more than that. If anyone knows anyone please pm me and I'll forward his email. Thanks

  18. Sanyo 20ez - HOT smoked after cap kit

Thanks for the help. I was definitely scratching my head on that. Also, thanks for the great service on all of the parts. I buy a majority of the parts I use from you.
  19. Sanyo 20ez - HOT smoked after cap kit

It's arctic silver which is non-conductive. But if you read the fine print it is capacitive. I won't be using it anymore. What do you suggest for a good thermal paste?
