NO!!! The wire brush is fine for the male side (sandpaper would be better... NO steel wool!). The dremel will be too aggressive for the female side. Keep in mind that these are just bits of stamped sheet metal attached to 40 year old bakelite.

Ended up buying the board from Holland Computers. Can you explain the 6 wire hookup for me? I see the 5 pin RGB and the 8 pin RGBS connectors. The board does not come with the 8 pin connector (it only includes the 5 pin). Anyone know of a source for the 8 pin?

Aside from swappiing out the sound mechs for a modern soundboard, I can see no good reason to "modernize" any EMs.

Note that it only applies to prizes valued at more than $30. It might affect those "games" where you can try to knock down the electronic items, but there's not much in a traditional arcade that will be affected.
