When it comes to flybacks, does it have to be the exact same model or are there several models that may be compatible?

I'm in no hurry. I'd rather get this right the first time than buy something that won't work.

I didn't find a part number of the flyback itself, but I did find one on this part which the flyback plugs into (not sure what it is exactly). KT5100 2F115

Nope, I don't see anything on the flyback. If it had a sticker it fell off long ago.

Yeah I'll definitely need some help getting this out. Of course before I can even think about doing repairs I need to figure out what this monitor is. I wonder if all Sanwa flybacks are the same?

Thank you, that's why I'm very keen on getting this back into working shape. As you can see from the new pictures I took (sorry for the quality, but my basement is really poor lightning) the wood plank the circuit board is on is attached to the chassis if the front (bolted to the bottom of it)...

Yes and the monitor board says 20I10 on it as well (see pic). Not easily. The board is bolted to a piece of wood that's held into the cabinet at an angle. I'm not sure what the logistics are of getting that out. I'm still very new to this.

Yes there's no power going to the CRT as far as I can tell (no hum, no glow). How do you test the flyback? That's HV stuff.

Yes it does, I didn't realize how dirty it was inside because I never had to go into the back. Other than the fuses, what should I be looking for to see if a component is bad? Everything seems to *look* ok, but I'd like to narrow down things I need to test. Also what is that cap looking...

I can start with that. I've got a cheapo multimeter I can use. What is that black square thing in the first picture labeled TLN102? I can't tell if that gunk on it is just glue/crud or if it's exploded goo.

I'm not sure. There's two I can see. One in front of the power transformer (called Fuse 1A) that looks intact, but the second I can see is right underneath the monitor so it's hard to see and get to (you can see it in the upper left corner of the last picture). I don't see any black marks on...
