I've never had any success finding a TV tube with a GO7 compatible yoke - the vertical resistance always falls far short of 54R found in GO7 yokes. Which means doing a tube swap is very difficult, because invariably the yoke must be swapped too which leaves a load of convergence issues to try...

Anyone have experience of a GO5 emitting a high pitched whine noise? Pretty loud. Beyond annoying. It's going to be the flyback, isn't it? And no readily available replacement. Anything else it might reasonably be, before I start scratching around for a new flyback?
