  1. Data east cpu board relay?

Hi. Does anybody know where I can get the relay for the Data East cpu version 3 board? It is for my Jurassic park. I ordered what I thoght was the correct part from Marco and it turned out to be a six pin relay which is what all the ones I can find are. The one on the cpu is a 12 pin.
  2. My JP is screwed, please help!!!

I am going to have to invest in some testing equipment then. What would you suggest I need? Thanks.
  3. My JP is screwed, please help!!!

I will send the main board off for inspection. It likely has something wrong with it now i've worked it over! Flashers bulbs keep blowing as soon as you fit them to so I might as well let a professional look over it. There is a place called Pinball Heaven that do the repairs, they fixed a JD...
  4. My JP is screwed, please help!!!

Do you think the problem might be on the PPB board or is that wishful thinking? I would gladly send any board to you but I live in the UK and it would cost too much probably in postage. Thanks anyway. If it is the PPB, I see that they do make a replacement for this now.
  5. My JP is screwed, please help!!!

Thanks but that don't help much. I know the driver board is probably damaged, I just need to know what parts. The solonoids seem ok. It seems impossible to locate and Data East replacement boards.
  6. My JP is screwed, please help!!!

In trying to fix the problem I posted on here where 2 solonoids were not not working, I have caused more, bigger problems. I figured out that fuse F8 in the PPB board kept blowing as soon as I replaced it. When I disconnected the wire that powered the 2 solonoids in question (yellow/violet...
  7. Jurassic Park solonoid probs.

Hi. I'm having trouble with my Jurassic Park again and wondered if anyone could assist. For no apparent reason, the right VUK solonoid and the ball launch solonoid have both stopped working. I changed the VUK solonoid for a new one before I realised the ball launch had gone also, but it...

  9. Board rapairs.

Yippee I fixed the problem. I did what you said and checked the white/green and white/yellow wires and all the switches they power and after about 3 hours found that someone had soldered a white/green wire onto the end of a diode that was powered by a white/ yellow wire thus causing the short...
  10. Board rapairs.

The three double switch faults including the switch that should not be activated by the intended switch activation, so six in total, all use either the white/yellow wire, or the white/green wire. Does that mean anything?
  11. Board rapairs.

Hi. In light of my recent JP problems, it looks like I might have to send the cpu board off for repair. I just need to know how extensive their repairs are, I mean, do they check the whole board or just home in and fix the problems you have told them about? Thanks.
  12. More Jurassic issues

Sounds like i'm gonna need to learn a little about electrics and soldering. Unfortunately most of what has been suggested is way above me at the moment. I restored a JD to quite a high standard but it didn't have any board problems as complex as this. Still, nothing ventured, nothing gained...
  13. More Jurassic issues

I have gone into switch test with just the glass off and the playfield down and have found the following things that don't seem correct: - Inner loop top also reads as right outlane and visa versa - top turbo bumper also reads and actives right slingshot and visa versa - Raptor pit also reads as...
  14. More Jurassic issues

Even more annoying than the backbox lighting issue I had, is a game fault which I didn't recognise as a fault to start with as I don't know JP well enough. When I hit the raptor kickback target, it goes into a game mode that says 'ramps to lite Mr DNA' on the matrix. It then repeatedly keeps...
  15. Jurassic Park issues, HELP!!!

I think it was probably bolstering a fuse that was only being held in by 3 holders that fixed it. There was also a fuse that somebody has repaired by solering, that I replaced, if it wasn't this, then I don't know. I was mainly tinkering under the playfield. The sound was ok in the end...
  16. Jurassic Park issues, HELP!!!

Thanks for the replies. Well I must have moved something or knocked a wire or something because the lights are working now, I think as they should do. I'm still bothered though because this obviously dosn't constitute a permenant repair, I need to find out what it was. As well as the lighting...
  17. Jurassic Park issues, HELP!!!

Hi, I recently brought a JP and it has quite a few faults. The one that is annoying me the most is that the back box lighting is screwed. Only one flasher works, none of the lamps or any other flasher(if it has any) will ever come on. Also, a relay in the top left hand side of the box keeps...
  18. Extra ball problems, please help!

I changed the batteries fairly recently. I have set one of the settings that dictates at what score you will get your extra balls to fixed and it seems for now to have solved the 'score extra ball' issue but it is still not counting up the crime scenes towards an extra ball. I have a feeling I...
  19. Extra ball problems, please help!

Can anybody tell me why my Judge Dredd is not awarding me with extra balls when it is supposed to? It is on the factory setting of 150 million for the first extra ball through score but it sometimes dosn't give one. At the moment it is not giving one at all. Also, it will not give me an extra...
  20. Judge Dredd Crane Magnet Issue, Need Help

It sounds like you may have the same problem as I did with the gearbox breaking. If it is, then the sound you hear will be the motor running. On mine, the bottom gears were not connecting with the top gears so somewhere in the gearbox was a breakage were a contact was not being made. The...
