Williams Blaster in the wooden cabinet... If you own/owned one stop in...

As far as I know, there are only 2 wood cabinets in collectors hands, but I'm not sure if any have been found recently. The one pictured above is in Europe, and I believe that is also Darin's old one. The 2 cabinets I know about both have prototype serial numbers, and I doubt there are a ton of...

Blaster / Inferno Optical Joystick Repro

Will you be selling the entire joystick with the plastic grip and buttons? Is there somewhere I can get more information (price, time frame, etc)? Can't wait to see more! matt

1983 Williams video game promo tape

Thanks for posting this, loved it. Any other information about where this came from? Seems to be a wide range of release dates covered and the players/announcer are pretty bad.

    Dedicated upright Williams Splat

Wow, Im really surprised there is this much interest in this thread, let me cover a couple of things, We tried to buy the duramold.com back, but it went for to much. I still hate my brother for that one. He's doing fine, and still a total jerk :) Once my wife stops getting pregnant (or I...

Who got the Inferno boardset off Ebay Tonight?

I have some advertisements for Inferno that start out selling them as dedicated machines and a few months later offer kits for sale. I always presumed the kits where from stripped dedicated machines, but maybe these boards are from a true kit. Not to thread jack, but I only knew of 3...

    Robotron CPO Differences?

The darker start is the same as on the cabaret cpo, and the early robotrons (2084s) are thought to be minis. There are 2 upright prototypes in this flyer, but I cant make out what type of "start" they have. We need CSI Miami to enhance the picture :)...

Blaster & framed art fans, check this out!

little late to the conversation, but... Looks great Joe. I've only ever seen 1 conversion blaster (Collins SC auction) and it had this side art on a star gate. It didn't fit right on the cabinet, but it looks great framed.

    The gameroom is shaping up

Looks awesome! The only thing I can think of to add to that game room is more williams! Dump that black widow and get a blaster in there, maybe a defender instead of pachinkos. Yes, i can picture it clearly. MORE WILLIAMS!!! :)

Possibly the most rare ms. Pacman cabinet??? PLEASE HELPPlease help!!

Hey, I'm no expert on midways, but i do have a couple of things to point out. 1) I don't think it could be a prototype "cabinet" meant for mass production. They stuck very close to pac man cabinets for the upright, cocktail and mini, so i would expect early test machines and amoa type machines...

Okay... Any collectors in Tucson, AZ?

NE side checking in. I haven't tried to sell anything since i moved out here, so I am not sure about the market. It strikes me as weak, but hopefully I am wrong because I have about 10-20 projects to sell in the future ;)

What was Williams working on in 1982?

Yeah the dates are way off, but Predators was tested as a raster game too. It seems like it went through a couple of development teams, maybe it took that long to get to a final product? totally guessing, but predators is the only wms game ive heard of with a vector connection.

    My MGC purchases

Wow, that's some great stuff! I am totally jealous, wish i knew someone was selling the drawings, I would have tried my best to keep them together. Any idea where they came from? Are the Robotron drawings labeled "Robotron" or "2084"? 2084 started out as a mini, so that would be a pretty cool find.

What was Williams working on in 1982?

Maybe Predators? http://www.retrokade.com/cabs/predators.htm (quote from Rav's web page ) "I worked on that one as a Producer while I was at Williams/Bally/Midway. It started as a submission by a group from Seattle who had created an x/y colour vector hardware that could be linked together"...

Rockola Demon - What's the Story?

I am not very serious about anything, so i don't have a VAPS listing. When I found mine there was one other known one in Chicago area without a marquee. I heard a rumor he found a marquee then sold it to the guy who brought it to CAX. The cax one and the missing marquee one could be 2 different...

Rockola Demon - What's the Story?

I own one to, so theres a couple of them out there. (the one in Chicago is maybe the same one at cax, but I'm not sure) I think its the only black on black rockola cabinet, so its "dedicated" just a typical rockola side art game. With so few around, it seems like it failed before it made it...

    Interesting article on preservation

The second part of the article is now up, for anyone interested. http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/6283/where_games_go_to_sleep_the_game_.php?page=2 I liked the first part better, but still an OK read.
