Just wanted to say that is was a loose leg on the IC. Pin 3 did not test successfully when I did a continuity check. I re-soldered it, tested it and the video is back to normal! Thanks for the tips!

I hope that's it. I'm not the cleanest solderer. With a meter would I just be checking continuity between each leg on the DAC and it's respective trace on the PCB?

I just replaced the DAC and broke a glass cap in the process, replaced the cap with a ceramic one as that's what is lister in the manual (at C104) and got a blank screen. I re-did some of my soldering and now have what you see in the pictures attached. Not sure if it's an issue with my solder...

Thanks! I think it mist have been from the past owner. Probably originally ceramics as the manual states.

I broke what looks like a glass capacitor on an asteroids pcb. In the manual it lists the part location as C104 ceramic disc radial lead. Are they interchangeable?

Just looking at other posts referring to DAC issues, I see there are 2. X axis and Y axis. If I have horizontal lines, am I replacing the Y axis? Vertical lines or "jail bars" would point to the X axis being the problem...

Ahh thanks but I just ordered from the site above. I think I'm just going to replace the DAC and the 347's at the same time. That should give me more system stability i think?
