AFAIK, there's no test switch on this monitor. As for the Horizontal width coil, I haven't played with it yet; I've been looking for some physical damage, to no avail.

To the extent that I could see the screen change while turning the vertical size pot, yes I did check it. Unfortunately, the problem persists. Michael

I looked pretty thoroughly for physical damage, but couldn't see any cracked traces or broken solder joints or wires...I'll have another look today. I'll check the monitor model & post later today with some pics of the symptom. Thanks for your input, Michael

Actually, it looks as if there never was a filter board on this unit. Also, the motherboard is mounted horizontally rather than vertically, and the sound board is on the top right...I am guessing that since this was an early machine, some changes were made as production went along. Amazingly...
