I've got a bunch of "dead" track balls. Anybody have an idea what the optical sensor part number is and where to order them? For like a Happs track ball? Or, if you simply replaced a 'similar' optical sensor on a different make of track ball on both X and Y would it work again?

Can you check a MOSFET transistor like a regular transistor with a multimeter diode check? I have this one that may be causing a problem, and I don't have a replacement. It's a Fairchild 11N40. Where I get transistors doesn't have them, you have to buy 1000 of them at .64 apiece to get them.

I have a R-88 that I fixed recently, but I'm thinking of doing getting a conversion kit to change it to play CD's or even MP3's. Anybody have one of these and what do you think of it? The CD version is pricey, but the HDD drive conversion is even more. Any thoughts?

Where are you getting your 45's these days? I don't know if there is any store anywhere that sells new ones. I pick mine up at auctions and flea markets, etc. Junk stores and consignment stores. Anyplace that this group recommends for finding any new vinyl?
