The RAM wouldn't care about a pin being pulled to GND. The board would if it were a power pin pulled down, but not a TTL level IC.

I suppose there's a chance that it has bad RAM as well. I managed to find one a while back by piggybacking a known good RAM onto the system RAM. FWIW, it should fill the entire screen with the blue pattern even if the hard drive is not connected.

open trace then maybe? Without schematics, it's going to be difficult to narrow down.

My money is on legs bridged or not soldered on the CPU IC. The spacing is very tight and without proper tools its easy to miss.

i see that. It still lines up correctly, but the pins are labeled B1 thru B8 rather than A1 thru A8. I put an unknown condition DAC-08 on the board, and it's now operating differently. I need to verify that these DACs are either good or bad, but I can't operate the throttle and probe the board...

FWIW, I think the schematics are wrong. I'm looking for solid verification from someone that has a board handy.

I'm working on a LL Reproduction board. The throttle isn't working right. I have changed the pot with no difference. Can someone with a working board, factory, or repro, please verify that the IND0 through IND7 lines are pinned according to the schematics on N10? The board I'm working on has...

good to know. OP, if you go this route, get a Galaga to JAMMA adapter so you can just plug this board in. You will also be able to play a few other games that are on the BitKit. :)

When you add to these threads, you are also helping other people in the future. Valid help is always useful. I get it, though, Mark. I've been absent from this site for a long time.

FYI, I dont know if the BitKit is "emulation" or not, but in my experience, ALL Namco games experience input lag on the emulation-based boards. If you dont want to fix your board, there are plenty of people here and online elsewhere that can take on the job for you.
