  1. Toobin' Price Check

Yeah, $800 is pretty steep. I have a complete one, minus the all important medium resolution monitor that was given to me. Of course, I'm still searching for the monitor. :-/ $400 max. $300 ideal.
  2. If your S.O. ever complains about the space your games take up (GT-6)

Never saw it here in the States. But that is friggin' AWESOME!!!
  3. Asteroids playing blind... not sure where to look...

There's a brightness potentiometer on the monitor board, too. If it's really worn out, the pot may need to be turned up in order to see anything.

  6. Bahhh now I have to learn to cap, but i'm electronics challenged. help??

Get a simple "solder yourself" electronics kit form Radio Shack. Practice on that. Once you get good at soldering, doing a cap kit is very easy.
  7. My first free game this year: Asteroids Deluxe

Congrats! AD is definitely one of my favorites. I had to pay for mine, though. But that's OK, I've gotten freebies before and yes, it is great!
  8. FS Game: SEGA Turbo Sit Down/Cockpit DENVER/Fort Collins PREFER LOCAL Pickup

Guess I should mention that the CL price of $500 is VERY negotiable for KLOV folks. I was playing it while I was dusting it off for pictures. I forgot how much fun this game is! Make me an offer and get this nice game out of my garage. The cabinet is on WHEELS and I have a lift gate for...
  9. FS Game: SEGA Turbo Sit Down/Cockpit DENVER/Fort Collins PREFER LOCAL Pickup

SEGA Turbo Sit Down/Cockpit DENVER/Fort Collins PREFER LOCAL Pickup Hello all! I have my sit down Sega Turbo up for sale. Why? Cleaning out the garage. Game works well, except for the scoreboard LEDs. I reseated the ribbon cable and it still didn't fix it. :-( Pictures are here, along with...
  10. Just Saw Wreck-It Ralph

I thought it was an awesome movie, even outside of the arcade references. The most awkward product placement was Subway, IMHO. The cup just seemed awkward and out of place as it didn't have ANYTHING to do with the movie. It would have been funnier if it was a BnL (Buy n Large) cup from Wall-E...
  11. Williams Multigame kit

I'm watching this, too. Feel free to PM me when it's ready.
  12. Can a Pole Position be bullet proofed?

It's really not that bad. The 5V mods are simply running new wires to the 5V test points on the board. It gets a terrible reputation here and I think that scares people away from it. IMHO, it really is the "classic" driving game of the 80s.
  13. Vintage Vault Arcade and Gameroom ~ Graduation Party (6/16/12)

Is that really your basement????!!! It looks like you went to an arcade and just took random photos of other people. :D NICE!!!!
  14. Today's unbelievable acquisition: a free Moon Patrol!!

You should have snagged the Red Baron and parted it out. Not too many of those left. Good luck with the restoration!
  15. My games arrived in Australia today

That's a great collection of games to have ANYWHERE in the world. Glad they arrived safe and sound!
  16. Price check--pole position cockpit w/ pp2 board

I hear a lot of people tell me that they'd LOVE to have a cockpit, but just don't have the room. I think the size limits the pool of potential buyers and therefore the price. Unfortunately, I'd say $250-$300. Even though I'd like to see them sell for so much more since I own one, too. :D
  17. Toobin' with no monitor

Thanks! That's what I needed to know!
  18. Toobin' with no monitor

Is the game supposed to make any noises in attract mode? All I hear is the coin up noise, nothing else. I'd like to know that it plays blind before investing in an LCD and/or converter.
