Thanks for the help. On P3 pin 1 I get .2v AC, everything else shows 0 (incl my 5v line to the main board.) I think my dallas chips are suspect. They're cheap phillipines chips. Recommendations on good replacements?

I do get the "Hello, I am turned on" on start up, but no knocker. I have done the dallas RAM mod. I was getting a RAM1 error message, so replaces both memory chips with the dallas DS1220AD. Still no love. If I got bad memory chips would that cause this?

P3: 1: 19.9v 2: empty slot 3: -12v 4: 11.9v 5: gnd 6: 29.9v P4: 5.01v Not sure what "AC ripple on your DC rails" is or how to test it?

My q-bert finally made it's way out of storage and into the new house. I fired it up and got the below: Ignore the black bars, those dont show when looking at it in real life. My PSB is putting out the right voltages, and all the LED's are lit. Help?

I have a new-to-me KT-2914. I re-capped it, and in the process found that the yoke was in pretty bad shape (flopping loosely around on the neck) and there were multiple burn spots on the board. Some weird things have been done (piggbacking caps, for example.) After the work I have a weird image...

Cheers dog. Wiring in a toggle is my next step. I think I have a low 5v+ situation as well since sometimes my screen flickers and some of my controls don't work. Need to figure this out as I don't like having games down for repair :(

BTT, any thoughts on this one? Surely someone has hooked up the 8118 and can explain how to wire/connect it?

I installed a GBS 8118 2:1 switcher to toggle between a 4XX:1 and a 60:1 multicade. Everything works great, except it doesnt switch? Regardless of which game I plug into which slot, I only get whats plugged into slot2 on the screen. If I unplug the receiver for the switching remote it toggles...

Looks like a couple of issues to me. I would guess you have some kind of power problem, note the marquee light shutting on and off - thats wired directly to the power supply I believe as it runs on 120v. The bars look like monitor adjustment to me, but someone with more knowledge than me can...

Attract mode for Tron? Or more accurately, music/sound during the attract mode for Tron.

I thought about this, when I took the load off my existing PSB it went up to 5.25v, still a long ways from 6+. That being said, suggestions on how I can do that w/o plugging in the 3-board stack?

I bought a cheap Tron PSB as a backup off ebay. It was pretty roached when I received it, but since it was a backup I decided to take my time and rebuild it. I did the Roberts shotgun rebuild, and plugged in the power-in connectors (J3 & J6.) I did not connect the 3-board stack, and turned on...

The suspense on this is killing me......

No luck splitting the ohm's either. Any additional thoughts? I know folks are rebuilding these, so seems like there must be a solution?
