    wico leaf vs micro switch

Thus, the use of the word "or" in that sentence. ;) But it's still not going to mean much to an individual player. I.e. ask a player what gram force the sticks were on the machine he just got a high score on. The response will likely be of of those other nebulous terms. :) Nothing wrong...

    wico leaf vs micro switch

There are a couple of important things to consider: No joystick configured for great 8-way performance is going to do well for a 4-way game (such as Tetris). Making one perform better will necessarily make the other worse. That said, it's not difficult with the Dominux8 sticks to tune them...

    wico leaf vs micro switch

Aside from the inaccurate clover representation, it should still be glaringly obvious from looking at them as to why my statements made earlier are true. These diagrams don't prove your case. Rather just the opposite.

    wico leaf vs micro switch

One of your examples violates the laws of physics, while the other two don't achieve what you think they do. This is where experience comes in. Players don't think about numbers while playing, and personal preferences play a big role. If there was one perfect recipe for every person, every...

    wico leaf vs micro switch

Sure. 4 screws hold them in place, so they are pretty simple to change. I'll see if I can set up the options so that it allows multiple restrictor plate selections. Until then, you can leave a note in the comments to add to the order.

    wico leaf vs micro switch

It's really not up to others to help engineer products for your commercial endeavor. Perhaps your time would be better spent by actually prototyping and play testing, which would provide far more information. You'll find that what I stated is true. I'll leave it by stating that you need only...

    wico leaf vs micro switch

Your diagrams don't reflect reality. They are an ideal pattern (although not really in practice) and those zones can change radically based on the components used, and their position in the overall assembly.

    wico leaf vs micro switch

Terminology discussions aside, let me put it in simpler terms: you can't fight the laws of physics. Not sure what you mean by "tic-tac-toe" patterns. But if you are referring to switch (digital) based sticks, yes, that is the type I am referring to. There are other types where custom maps can...

    wico leaf vs micro switch

The True 4-way restriction on the Dominux8 stick is similar to that of the LS-32 (and Zippyy ). Some like it, while others don't. It has a lot to do with an individual's preferred playing style. If one is the type who rides hard the outermost extents of the actuation zone while playing, then...

    49 way ball joystick?

These are a "special" item, and are not listed on the store. To order them, you can order a "Widget" at the store, and indicate in the comments that you would like to order the "Proteus" joystick. Make sure you indicate the quantity, and the color of the Hand-Candy balltop(s) you want. We...

    49 way ball joystick?

I did reply to these requests, but I'm not sure if all made it through. This is essentially the current situation as it relates to these and what was sent: ---- Our version is called the "Proteus". We have a limited number of these in stock now. They are, however, a very high-end stick, and...

High Speed Pinball light Modification, thoughts?

Mine's getting a little sketchy at startup, so I've been thinking of replacements as well. On the color, it's a state thing. In NY, blue lights are volunteer firemen. Red is strictly police and regular fire vehicles. I like the red and blue, but I think the real deal may be a little...

how much longer would arcades have lived with no consoles?

From my personal experience as a youngster who experienced it first hand, from beginning to "end", it wasn't the consoles, so much as it was the ability to get nearly the same experience at home. The first system to have real, licensed and popular titles, that really could stand up to the...

    Rollie Leaf Switches

Our True-Leaf Pro leaf switches, used with our CLASSX pushbuttons, will very probably last even longer than the switches on 20 year old panels. Those old switches were put under a lot of stresses, based on the way the buttons interacted with them, that the CLASSX buttons just don't cause. Of...

T-molding - Do you cut the spine on curves?

Unfortunately, it's a specialized tool, which means small audience and big price. On the bright side, if you are installing the molding all day, every day, it will pay for itself quickly. And based on the work it's doing, it will very likely last forever. Not much help to the hobbyist though.

    Galaga Midway Cocktail woodgrain

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=261-626 Might not be a perfect match, but it's easier to install than regular laminate material. Probably similar to the type of material that was on there before.

T-molding - Do you cut the spine on curves?

Definitely cut. The pros even have a special tool to do it. Looks kind of like set of nippers that take a v-shaped chunk out of the spine. Glue shouldn't be necessary, unless the groove is worn, cut badly, or the wrong size for the molding being used.

    Asshat Arcade as of 5/7/11

....and then there's a "smaller" game-room with even more great games. :) That's an amazing collection you have there, Frizz.
