  1. OT: Movies that just creep you out...

I love horror movies. I've probably seen all of the ones mentioned in this thread and many more. The only one that ever _really_ got me (and I think about it at least once a month or so) is the Exorcist 3 scene with the nurse. (YouTube Clip) Not sure why, it just really "got me". Cigerette...
  2. USB Joystick. I want one of these.

Yeah, I ordered 2 a few weeks ago. I can't wait to get them! My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I'll be going 2600 crazy when I get them. -mark
  3. Great idea. Horizontal and vertical game cocktail!

They have kits for the 3 side control panels at Arcade Depot also: http://www.arcadedepot.com/index.html They look pretty cool, but I'm not really a DIY kind of person so they may be junk and I just don't know it. I wouldn't mind something like this since I really don't have any "must be in a...
  4. How the f#$% do you order from Bob Roberts!!

I just ordered from him last week. I emailed [email protected] and got a response that night (Saturday). (My son loved the candy he sent along with my order) Not sure what to recommend though. Especially if you've used different email addresses and servers. Strange. -mark
  5. Ms. Pac/Galaga/Frogger board

I thought this was one of the original x in 1 boards. Seems I read something about them before, but klov says it is from midway... Anyhow, here's the klov link http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=13244 -mark
  6. WTB: Jpac/I-Pac or other mame converter boards

I bought a JPAC direct from Ultimarc and love it. It's nice to have the jamma connector so you just plug in the computer like you would a jamma board, keeping your existing controls and such. I'm not sure it anyone on here sells them, but I got mine from Ultimarc and it was here in no time (2...
  7. Missile Command kill screen

Did anyone see Chuck tonight? An episode dedicated to Missile Command! Quite fun. -mark
  8. Who has a cliffhanger laser disc game?

Yep... I got so excited for Cliffhanger on the Sega CD only to discover it was for the crappy movie game, not the great LD game! I bet the LD would have sold much better, even if many had never even heard of it by then. (damn youngsters!) -mark
  9. Who has a cliffhanger laser disc game?

We had a Space Port with a CLiff Hanger in it... it was marked $.50 per play but only cost a quarter so we'd always get free credits from people walking away with a credit remaining. That's how I got hooked on it. I think Cliff Hanger is probably my greatest grail, BUT I doubt I'll ever get...
  10. Want to have a Nintendo World Championship???

I won a shirt I think... That's not where I got the cart though. I used to work in a game store and someone brought it to trade in. They had no box or instructions and it was put in the system as a standard starfox so I got it for like 4 or 5 dollars (after my employee discount). -mark
  11. Want to have a Nintendo World Championship???

When I played it, it was at Electronics Boutique I believe. Definitely not Blockbuster. It was promoted through Nintendo Power I think, so it may have just been at select gaming places. I'll attach a pic. -mark
  12. Want to have a Nintendo World Championship???

I don't have one of these carts, but I have a SNES one that is a timed version or Starfox. Pretty cool to see limited edition stuff like this. At any rate, it would be cool to do this but I really don't have the extra $50 to spend on a cart right now. -mark
  13. OT, people will sell anything LOL

HAHAHA My wife is expecting and we need to get a door for the baby's room. I sent this to her as a suggestion. I wish the in-laws had email! -mark
  14. Best 5 Atari 2600 Cartridges Ever

I can't really rank and rate... So I just listed what I could think of (with some reminders:Haunted House, Superman) while reading through the thread. Alphabetized, but still I think Adventure would probably be #1 if I really tried to rank them. Adventure ET Haunted House Kaboom Megamania...
  15. Strange looking Afterburner

Interesting Afterburner on CL: http://harrisburg.craigslist.org/ele/873846297.html Definitely vintage -mark

  17. MAMEing an Assault

Yeah, I definitely don't want to hurt this machine. That's why I want to make a converter cable to go from the existing CP connectors to the molex ones like I use, and some sort of generic CP instead of modding this one (or any actual Assault CP, unless I could find a really beat up one). I...
  18. York Show Who Was It???

I know it isn't really the point of this thread, but we had a good time there. I was in a "Fart Proudly" T-shirt with my 3 year old son in his Mario shirt. We were also carrying a stepstool so he could reach the games (learned my lesson from holding up at all the games/pins last year). The big...
  19. MAMEing an Assault

First, I won't cause any permanent harm to it. Second, all pieces and parts will remain intact for easy switcheroo back to the original. Now, I have a couple questions about MAME'ing/60-in-1'ing an Assault: 1. Is the JAMMA harness standard? The game db (KLOV) says "Namco System 2 - JAMMA". I'd...
  20. Calling Assault owners

What's the deal with this side art? Mine has one side almost all the way (all the way down, but stops maybe 4 or 5 inches from the front) and the other side is probably missing the bottom foot or so. Seems most that I see do not have the full side art. Even the "EXTRA R@RE!!!!1!!!!!!1111...
