  1. Help Taxi drop targets not working?

Check your IDC connector and header pins in the backbox for that connector. Off the top of my head I don't remember the number, but it's on the lower left hand side of the board. Check your manual. Mine were acting flaky, sometimes registering, sometimes not, turned out to be a bad IDC connector.
  2. Help Taxi drop targets not working?

When you say they work in test mode, do they work in switch test mode, or are you saying that they reset when you test the solenoids?
  3. Interesting Funhouse

LOL, it's Rudy in drag! If the rest of it is in good shape you could get a non-David Bowie Rudy back on there for under $100. That seems like a good price for a FH these days. Someone could get a decent pin unless it needs a lot of work.
  4. Don't know where to start... taxi machine

You could use the 4 AA battery holder if you run a jumper wire instead of the 4th battery, otherwise you'd have 6 volts versus 4.5 volts. I'd just wait until they have the 3 AA holder in myself.
  5. Don't know where to start... taxi machine

AAA and AA have the same voltage, so it'll work but the batteries won't last as long. I'd get a AA holder. The difference in battery life is significant. On my Taxi when my Marilyn and Pinbot drop targets get flaky, wiggling some of the wires on the left side in the back box will get it...
  6. Need education on multicades

Gotcha. I didn't know if there are plans out there where you could throw one together using MDF, etc.
  7. Need education on multicades

Do you make your own cabs, or put new artwork on an old cab?
  8. Need education on multicades

I have posted a few times in the pinball forum, but never in the video game sections. My wife has said she wouldn't mind having an old video game to complement our pinball machines. I have seen the multicades, and have some questions about them. 1) Are the 60 in 1 games all bootleg knockoffs...
  9. Earthshaker FS on Craigslist...

Hey, you're right. I've seen that pin advertised on one of the other pin sites and it did state that it has a Twister translite. My bad! :( I was being sarcastic about the rare part. ;) I agree, that is overpriced for that shape.
  10. Earthshaker FS on Craigslist...

The seller does state that it has a Twister translite, that makes it rare. A good deal at that price!
  11. Gottlieb switch issue

Bad diode. Checked them all and found a bad one, replaced it and now it's running correctly.
  12. Gottlieb switch issue

I bought a Lights....Camera.....Action! last night and I've got one outstanding issue. The upper switch on the playfield for the shootout hole is not working. I've checked the switch with my meter at the lugs, and at the end of the harness, and they both check out fine when I push down on the...
  13. I know I may get shot for saying this but,

Agree 100%, I can never find a good viewing angle on that table, and then the view changes when you get multiball. :(
  14. Drop targets. I'm scared.

    Why couldn't you paint them?
  15. Dot Matrix Repair

No luck. Tried using my dremel to shave down the glass to the leads, but after applying the conductive paint, it's still not working. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
  16. Dot Matrix Repair

My bottom 3 lines are out on my LW3. The middle of the 3 dead leads looks like it's broken. I tried using a rear defogger repair kit on the leads going into the glass. Now I will get some flashing occasionally in these dead lines, but not much, but I think I must be close. Has anyone been...
  17. New LW3 owner

Pictures Here are some pictures. The right side of the upper box is the worst. The coin door has a plate over it for some reason, I'm guessing the coin device was removed when it was routed and this patched in. The playfield is in pretty good shape. The top stick of dynamite by the drop...
  18. New LW3 owner

You guys are a wealth of knowledge! Messed around some more today, and got the drop targets working with a temporary repair. After running an alligator clip from the left drop target to the IDC connector of the same color that plugs into the board, both targets register now. I'll check out...
  19. New LW3 owner

"Upon further review, the call on the field is overturned." After running a wire straight from the leaf switch to the connector on the board, the switch registers. Wow, completing the drop targets starts multiball, that'll make this game totally different. Spank, you mentioned there are...
  20. New LW3 owner

Hell, I'll drive down to Louisiana, if you can boil up some mud bugs! Love the food in that part of the world. If I lived around those parts, I'd weigh 300 lbs! I can alligator clip a wire back to the board with it raised and test a switch, that would be easy. In response to your question on...
