Asteroids Cocktail uses a ramsel to invert the screen From the Battlezone Cocktail source code, it uses bit 3 and bit 4 of address $1000 aka IC M11 to invert the screen just like Tempest Cocktail uses IC N9. The code uses address $1850 to select the input controllers.

Are you sure about this ? Does anyone have a schematic of Battlezone Cocktail ? or schematics of just the mods needed ? Looking at the code, looks like it is more like Tempest Cocktail.

Most likely Signetics 82S291, or 2616 or 2617 My guess 2616 with programmed chip selects which means you will have to set the CE pins manually for each ROM. Look on the underside of the ROM for a number.
