PCB: Street Fighter Alpha CPS2 Symptoms: Hangs in POST screen at QSound test I had heard before that QSound issues can hang the whole system and that's exactly what happened here. One of the sound program EPROMs was messed up. Grabbed EPROMs 01 and 02 from another SFA and it booted right up. -ud

Yeah, there was some serious initial inrush. I have a bunch more being made (basically took profits from first batch and dumped them into making an even bigger batch), so hopefully late Feb. all distros will be re-stocked :) -ud

Yeah, it's gotten pretty stupid. Though I completed my CPS2 collection w/o breaking the bank, it sure would have been nice to have picked most of them up back in the early 2000s when they were $20-$30 on ebay. -ud

That's typical of early versions of a game. I have a few games like that. Once Capcom was confident in the game graphics/sound, they'd get mask ROMs made. Some lower production games never got to the mask ROM stage (I believe Capcom Sports Club was one, Rock/Mega Man was definitely one). -ud

I assume by "rims" you mean ROMs? :) It depends on the game. Typically EPROMs 3&4, but really you need to check files in MAME to see which ones are unique to the region you want. -ud
