Picked up a second pinball! Once you get one...

Nice pickup. Jurassic Park is great! It looks like you have juuuust enough room for the topper. :) --Luke

    Williams Flash?

Flash is a heck of a game. One of my favorites. I think the theme is kind of a Thor, God of Thunder thing. You can even see Valhalla through the clouds on the backglass. At least that's my take on it... --Luke

    Comet "dunk the dummy" troubles

To test the switch, put the game into switch test mode and then drop the drop target and see if it recognizes the drop target switch (switch 29). I believe the switch is a microswitch, not a leaf switch (i.e. nothing to adjust). --Luke

    Early Bally Backbox Hinge

I should have added that you can probably find a hinge that will work at your local home improvement store. Hope this is helpful. --Luke

    Early Bally Backbox Hinge

I'm confused... The hinges I've seen from that era look just like the hinges on a regular door in your house. Is that what the half on the cabinet looks like? If so, the half that goes on the backbox should look more or less exactly like the half that you have on the cabinet. --Luke

    Comet "dunk the dummy" troubles

I'm guessing this doesn't have anything to do with the batteries. I'd start by checking the drop target switch. --Luke

Looking for feedback on a Comet

That rectifier board is for classic Bally/Stern games only. It WILL NOT work in a Williams Comet. --Luke

    Finished up my Fathom Project

Thanks guys! I'm not much of an LED guy, but I do put LEDs in the backboxes of my older SS games to keep the heat down on the backglass. This may be paranoid, but nevertheless that's what I like to do. --Luke

Looking for feedback on a Comet

How do the plastic ramps look? Those are typically the hardest to find for any given pin. Based on your description, though, 350 seems like a good deal. --Luke

By the way, I'm jealous of you guys and your Eight Ball Deluxe's. I've been looking for one for years. --Luke

    eightball deluxe flipper issue

It could be a break in the hold winding of the coil. Usually this means you have to replace the coil. Coils are electromagnets made up of copper wire wrapped a bunch of times around a core (i.e. the 'windings'). On your EBD, the flipper coils have both a high power winding and a low power...

    Fuses...where to buy?

I usually buy from Great Plains Electronics. That's my go-to source for most pinball related components. --Luke
