You have to upgrade all the electronics to get the board to work with the newer matrix. New segments (dart head), target interface, new matrix, and circuit board (6300 or Galaxy).

I have both the mainboard and wiring harness.

Video ram chips go bad frequently and the screen is unreadable random flashes on one side of the screen even though the screen is mostly black. TMS9118 chips. I have the ROMs for several dartboards if needed.

I have working PCB for these boards. Bad battery doesn't do anything but keep scores You can use a 2032 holder and put it in. These boards show a boot sequence when they work. Could be bad chips or a bad board. I can check the chips and have the programming files for the chips if needed.

I can test it. I have several of these parts also if it doesn't work.

Most boards have 2 nylons nuts to just hold the matrix into place. Opposite sides, one high, one low. The four corners use wings nuts to hold the target head to the board.

Switch to a linear power supply. Blue wires 12v, red 5v, black ground. Purple may be the power for sound connect to 12v.

I have a few but doubt any of them work. Better off converting board to the newer matrix. They can still be bought new.

Replace the TMS9118 Video chips on your board and it should work. I had to do this on one board. You need to add credits to select any of the games and get the sound to work. *Edit* I think I had to replace the TMS4416 Memory (2) Part number 01-0052 So it should only be U12 and U13 I...

Hook it up to the 12V as long as you have enough amps on the 12V to run both the monitor and sound. I would say at least 4 amps. The sound will work off of 12V.

I re-read that PDF and realized I checked the voltage at the power supply. I checked the voltage at the connector and it was much lower. I increased the power and it seems to be working now. Thanks for your help!

Can you point me in the right direction? I am not familiar with this.

I put in a brand new Happ 15A Power Supply. Everything was working great. I replaced the battery with a CR2032 holder from Radioshack and put in a new battery. Thanks for the suggestions. I will give those a try.
