  1. Questions about a Gauntlet Legends that needs some TLC

Are you sure the PSU's aren't correct? Can't remember exactly what they are off the top of my head, but my MK4 & NBA Showtime (which are same era Midway cabs - think the Showtime is very similar to Gauntlet Legends) have the same 2 PSU layout.
  2. How rare are Atari logo joysticks?

Got a couple on a cyberball CP I picked up... Think they're really nice sticks - my cyberball ones are microswitched. Liked them so much I wanted to put them in my mame box but the ball top wouldn't fit through my Midway cab CP and the pins that hold the sticks in are an absolute b*tch to...
  3. Power Drift Sound Issue

Well, I'll be honest - I'm pretty much out of my depth already. But if its any help (and in the absence of any other suggestions) if it were my machine I'd start by cleaning/reseating the 4 sound ROM's (they're shown in the manual) and if they're OK maybe be thinking one of the sound chips might...
  4. Power Drift Sound Issue

  5. Power Drift - Does it require a cabinet fan?

Thanks for getting back to me. Think you've just confirmed what the nagging in my head is telling me - fix the fan. Maybe after 22years its time for a new one anyway - I'm sure it shouldn't have been making as much noise as it was - I think my leaf blower is quieter, sure didn't sound like 45db...
  6. Power Drift - Does it require a cabinet fan?

Well probably at least partly answering my own question here. Found a better copy of the manual and it looks from the parts list like PowerDrift should have a fan. However it also looks like the PCB's should be in a rather solid and poorly ventilated cage which the fan blows over. For whatever...
  7. Power Drift - Does it require a cabinet fan?

Hi, hoping I might get some advice on this. I recently bought an upright Power Drift - works great - previous owner thought the monitor needed capping but turned out it was nothing that couldn't be sorted with the monitor pots so I got lucky there. Anyway, it has a 240volt (its a UK machine)...
