Thanks Thanks for the help, I did find some advise on grounding on Bob Roberts site, it seems that it's a good idea to earth ground all the metal frames in the cabinet. I think the mystery green wire used to go to the power supply board, so I'll hook it to the switching power supply frame. Jeff
