The tubes WG used on the U2000/U5000 were notoriously rubbish, it’s not uncommon for them to be beyond bringing back. I’ve also got a Sencore CR7000 which I bought about 14 years ago, as it happens to deal will all the U5000’s that we’re turning up bad!

I dont have a vectrex anymore but if you want a power knob I can print one on a resin printer rather than an FDM, it will be closer to to the original quality/finish wise. Just cover the postage.

Just noticed this! You only replaced one PSU section transistor there?!! check Q901, Q902, Q903, Q904

Check the PSU section transistors, pulling them from another chassis that's unknown is no good. PSU failures on these are fairly common so you could well have just put another bad transistor in it. You can pull F2, measure the B+ there to chassis ground and I bet its high.
