Could not find the one without the heatsink. Did find the UA706BPC. Ordered a couple. And some sockets. Opened the game up and checked things over. no loose wires, or broken connections. All connections good. Potentiometer checks out ok. Will replace the audio chip (ua706bpc) and the lm324n chip...

yup. That response was from arcadechips site. Electronic surplus does show the UA706BPC in stock. Going to pull the game off the wall and open the back to put eyes on the board to make sure of part numbers. Also to get the number of the pot that adjusts the sound volume.

Does anyone recognize this chip # 706 APC used in a gremlin trapshoot sound board.1975. probably other wall games as well. I believe it as an audio amplifier according to the manual. Cannot find it anywhere online. Thanks.

Found pin # on schematic, does not have any voltage. Only a couple resistors 2.7k 5% and a zener IN5231

That 2.8 AC is on the 1.79 dc volt pin Cant find that anywhere on the schematics. Will keep looking.

Ok. Changed meters. other meter was not able to read that low. Now have .001 on 5 volt 2.8 on 4.4 volt .001 on 17 volt .056 on -17 volt

Well, I have been known to measure things incorrectly. Let me double check my meter.

Ok. Checked ac ripple Both PS boards were about the same +5 volt lines are at 10.4-10.6 volts AC +1.8 volt line is at 4.4 volts AC +17.7 volt line is at 26.4 - 36.4 volts AC The rest did not register

Trying to figure out if my other two voltages are correct. 17 and -17 I found another spare PS board and it reads 12.2 and -20.4

Put the 4.5 volts to 5 volts . No change. Game still plays, just with jumpy screen and garbage. Monitor is OK.

power supply

There are 3 pots on the PS board. one for the +5, one for +18, one for -18. Or maybe 15?? Have not adjusted yet.
