I have the exact same problem with 2 EZ20 monitors. I just have a vertical line going down the length of the monitor. I have also tried the service switch and all the adjustments i could find. I replaced several parts:
1. 2SD869 Nintendo HOT
2. 2SD1090
3. LA5112N Sanyo 20EZ Regulator
on one...
